Loving it so far. Soooo much better than 5. Plenty of content straight away, you don't feel like you're scratching around for credits to move through the game. It's how Forza should be!

Had a go at some rivals last night. Managed to beat the Turn 10 guy and Roman Grosjean in the Lotus F1 car at Spa though I did have to abandon my normal manliness and put the TCS on as that F1 car is a tyre smoking nightmare!
I'm on a pad is it any easier with a wheel and pedals?

Loving this game so far and as most have said its a good improvement on 5.

I have ordered myself a G920 as well. But everywhere seems to be out of stock and just received an email for currys saying they don't know how long its going to take to arrive. Even Amazon is saying its on a 2-4week order now frown

It's exactly what I had hoped for; a next-gen FM4 ... It's perfect in so many ways, albeit two player split screen is missing content e.g. drift hud displayed on timing intervals only, no night racing, no weather. However I'm powering through the endurance races at present. I just hope that Turn 10 might expand the endurance race series ... Silverstone? Abu Dhabi? frown

I haven't had much time to take photos, but ...

A quick few minutes creating a livery for my Lamborghini race car:

Marbles/dirt collected from drifting at Abu Dhabi!

This game infuriates me as much as it gives me joy.

Stripped out, caged and super charged RS4, Brands Hatch in the wet, first attempt driving cleanly cannot get close to the 1st or 2nd placed car (SLK55 & Infiniti IPL), I mean absolutely nowhere near.

Restart, smash through the first corner with real aggression, up to about 7th out of the first corner, catch the front car by the end of the first lap, go on to win the race at an absolute canter? I mean 1/4 of a lap ahead?

I cannot for the life of me see how I can look at individual lap times of the AI or myself, but surely something is up? I have never seen a close 1,2,3 finish? On top of that 1,2 & 3 always seem miles ahead of the pack as well. For this reason I find choosing the AI difficulty hard, I either romp home by a country mile or finish 2nd or third by a country mile (usually third).

There seems one AI car in every series that dominates every race, regardless of the track or the weather conditions. Gets repetitive chasing the same car over and over again (yeah fk you Alfa Spider & SLK 55) and a majority of the time failing to do so.

Playing online with others is just utterly infuriating.

Started 2nd in my first race, was in 3rd after the first couple of corners, then started to catch and overtake 2nd place man and he just piled me in to the wall and I ended up 21st. What the fricking hell is up with that.

How can you race with Collisions off permanently?

I haven't played since Forza 4, but I recently traded my PS4 and 360 in for an Xbox One and grabbed Forza 6 on release day.

Anyone here remember B Class Scooby Ring? biggrin

My gamertag is Darra, and recognise a few of you still on my list from the glory days.

I'm enjoying Forza 6, although as the years have passed time allowed for sitting on video games seems to have been over taken by decorating, or other grown up stuff.

Same as I said. Glad I'm not the only one to have this issue. Would be great if they could change the pre race bit to give you the option of qualifying instead of practice. I could then qualify well, have the difficulty on unbeatable and have some good racing with a chance of win but as it is I have to knock the difficulty back and as said if you are not in contention at the end of lap 1 its game over.
I whack the enduro showcased up to hard as it gives me time to chase them down. Took about 20 laps at Road Atlanta so no chance of it in a normal race.

Hopefully it's a bug that gets patched quickly.

I'm not a fan of rubber banding race leaders, but I think the racing could be a lot, lot closer regardless. If you get to first you usually win by such a distance even that doesn't feel rewarding frown

On another note, this car is possibly the best car I have ever driven in any racing game cloud9 :

I thought one AI car being miles ahead has always been the way for Forza?

On the last game there were "Ghost" multiplayer modes where you could race without the collisions, you tend to always find out who the demo derby drivers are pretty quickly and can just try your best to steer clear!

Anyone else notice the following things?

1. The cars seem to be very prone to snap oversteer at high speed. Pick anything quick, like a 458, and turn in gently (using a wheel so this isn't too hard) to a fastish corner like Pouhon at Spa. Even at the correct entry speed, so with the racing line on it shows up in light yellow, the front will grip at first but then immediately the back end starts to come round so you have to correct, despite not altering throttle position. This happens constantly throughout the corner, and through every corner really.

Is it car setup? On F2-F5 I've normally dropped tyre pressures to 26F/28R, added 0.4deg toe out at the front, -0.2 toe in at the rear, increased camber front and rear but kept the OEM stagger between F&R, and then just stiffened the suspension up. As a rule, that's pretty much worked for every car on every game apart from F6. It should give me a sharp front end with a balanced rear, but not any more.

I've tried the OEM setup, I've tried running higher pressures front than rear, I've tried toe in at the front, adjusting the diff and aero to give more grip at the rear, basically everything that should turn the cars into an understeery mess. Nothing seems to make much of a difference. This is a constant issue on the 850CSi, 350Z, 458, SLR, etc. The only thing that felt okay was the Impreza I first had. What am I missing? I appreciate tuning is a huge part of the game, and I'm not without experience at tuning the suspension on both Forza games and IRL, but this is beyond me.

2. Not so serious this one, more of a funny little bug. Sometimes, I'll go to start a race and then just as it clicks to go, the camera view changes to looking out of the side window and the car jumps to reverse! Cue a slightly entertaining start where I launch backwards into everyone! laugh Happened a few times now, anyone else suffered? Only going back to the dashboard, booting another game then quickly rebooting Forza cures it.

only startline issues I have had are sometimes the gauges dont work (in car view) and it wont let me rev the car before the start, these both fix at the green light though

Glitch I've found, when playing online, even if server is set to cosmetic damage only, you can still get damaged if your single player is set to simulation?

Was causing a lot of confusion last night as I got absolutely ruined in a pile up, everybody else had no damage, I could barely get my car going.

bit irritating but aside from that, I'm loving it.

Do you mean forza 5 or 2? Forza 2 is 7 years old!
