Anyone else notice the following things?

1. The cars seem to be very prone to snap oversteer at high speed. Pick anything quick, like a 458, and turn in gently (using a wheel so this isn't too hard) to a fastish corner like Pouhon at Spa. Even at the correct entry speed, so with the racing line on it shows up in light yellow, the front will grip at first but then immediately the back end starts to come round so you have to correct, despite not altering throttle position. This happens constantly throughout the corner, and through every corner really.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. It is very turn-in-oversteery. You can tune it out by softening the read end (compression damping or spring rate) but it's a nightmare on standard cars and the challenges where you can't adjust the set up - I tried the 'Ring 125 mile thing last night and it's undriveable IMO - but for the most part you can drive around it. Hopefully they'll patch it. I've seen this complaint in a few places.

Other than that - the game's mega.

I've come from years of Gran Turismo and 6 was the nail in the coffin for me. WHO CARES ABOUT HAVING FOUR HONDA JAZZ MODEL YEAR VARIANTS?!! WHY ARE THERE NO FAST FORDS?!

Glad I made the change.

Shame there's no Porsche though after the appearance in Horizon 2.

Anyone know how to remove those really annoying names and banners above the competitor cars? I'm talking about in career mode, not online.

I really am not a fan. I don't need to know i'm racing against BigDarrel96 or someone.

It kind of ruins the immersion.

It's in the settings, hud settings, show names just switch it to off

I'm sure Q1 of 2016 has been confirmed for that.

After I posted that I went a-searching, and it certainly seems like it's not just us. I'm going to try playing around with the sensitivity settings on my TX wheel and the dead zones to see if that makes a difference.

I presume they lose it next year so T10 can use it-I bet Porsche are pissed that they cant get in the biggest driving franchise.
Or maybe its a 1 shot deal as in FM4 & FH2

Holy crap an LMP1 at night at Le Mans in cockpit view is hard as st! And rain on the Nurburgring with a gt3 racer is just ridiculous. Makes me feel even more in awe of those who do the N24hr race at night when it's pissing down!

Great upgrade from FM5 though.

Well, almost a week into playing this, I'm absolutely loving it. It's easy to pick it up and burn through a couple of hours without realising.

A couple of minor annoyances though:

There's no 'split' timings that allow you to judge your distance between you and other cars. I never realised how much I used to use that as a guideline - am I gaining on the car in front or pulling away from the car behind? Looking at the map hardly gives me an accurate representation!

Mod cards - really dumbs the game down for me. I'm not interested in extra grip on certain tracks or better braking.

The lack of weather changability. One thing I really liked about PCars.

I also wish that we could have the Sauber C9 and at least some form of McLaren F1 GTR. That said, the car choice is hardly lacking so that's my problem I suppose! Hopefully they will be part of some car packs soon.

Things I like:

The track choices, rain, hydroplaning on water and having to choose your line carefully.

The sound of the Mazda 787b. (In fact, the sounds are all fantastic).

How good the Prototypes are, and how satisfying it is when you nail a corner exit, because no traction control means LOTS of wheelspin.

The Ferrari 512 BB LM is a peach to drive as well.

Chebble, no split timings but you can turn on distances to the cars ahead and behind in the HUD settings.

The main thing that is bugging me is I can't read about 50% of the text. Especially whilst upgrading the car. I couldn't tell you what HP is being added or LB taken off weight. Text is just way too small. First game I've ever had this problem with.

Anyone else reckon this is the pinnacle of console racing now, the GT series has gone off the boil and Project Cars is good but the handling is weird.
