It's a shame they got rid of the car clubs, they made Rivals brilliant on Forza 4. My GT is Gun PH1 if anyone wants to add me.

I agree with what most are saying here.

There's definitely some work to be done on the difficulty and the way cars are distributed on track. It would also be great if you could choose the length of the races. Three - five laps is too short! If you had more laps you could take your time moving through the field and there wouldn't be any need to have the top three disappear in to the distance, creating this weird TT/pursuit style racing where the object seems to be putting in the fastest lap times rather than battling for the win 'on track'. It's doubly sad because when you get involved in a battle the AI is very impressive (although, I guess, coming from six iterations of Gran Turismo, I'm easily impressed with racer AI!).

The handling niggles are a big pain though. the flighty rear end on turn in is fairly easily solved with a race differential and winding the deceleration locking on (I've found about 50% seems to work well on most rear wheel drive cars) but that doesn't help at all with the challenges where the tuning is locked. I guess I'll have to park those (lolzzz!!11!) until they patch the issue, which I hope they do.

I'm happy with how easy it is to accrue credits, personally. It's allowed me to have a Mark 2 Escort with 4WD and a 5.7 supercharged V8 cranking out 700bhp in a replica of the McRae MK2 Escort livery, and a 400bhp Beetle with a (definitely not a Porsche) flat six motor and so on, without having to worry about what I might have to buy for the next career level.

Overall, I really like it. Love cocking about with liveries too. But there are a few little irritations, which I'm sure Turn 10 will sort soon.

I'll share some pics as soon as I can work out how to do it. I've done a Gold Leaf livery for the Exige, the aforementioned McRae one, and the Beetle looks the absolute nuts.

Does anyone know if I can load my Forza 2 liveries on to Forza 6? I spent BLOODY AGES making a replica of the below for my SL65 Black and I'd like to use it again. It was the nuts.

^ I agree with all of that and it made me lolzzz!!1! Just an all round excellent post.

The hyperactive rear end is a pain, though. I'm playing on a pad (the Xbox pad is great for racers. Or at least, it should be) and it's nigh on impossible to catch a slide without it pendulumming the other way. It's really spoiling the game for me.

Do you have the steering setting on normal or simulation? I just use normal and although it's still tail happy, you can catch the slide easily with out it snapping the opposite way.

I was going to say I find this one a lot more forgiving for sliding than Forza 5 and certainly way way more friendly than P Cars.

I went from being pretty handy at drifting on Forza 2,3,4 to being useless on 5. It was making the tyres heat up quicker on 4 that did it so I would be sideways into a corner, rears light up , go red instantly and car is now on glass, no hope of holding it steady let alone transitioning to another corner.
In 6 they have dulled the effect of overheated tyres so I can hold slides again and am really enjoying it.
I much prefer having cars that a meant to move around a bit, eg muscle cars, classics rather than the out and out racers. And I'm loving driving the wobbly cars in 6

With a wheel, normal is the only way to go. Its basically impossible to catch a slide with the wheel in simulation mode.

The name doesnt compute as in real life, it closely matches normal steering in regards to catching a slide - ive done a few driving experiences in real life and was actually fairly competent at it. Simulation would mean people crashing in real life every 5 seconds.

I have a TX too. Are you trying with simulation steering? With normal steering its pretty much perfect - so so enjoyable.

The degrees does help with catching things as with the lower degrees you dont have to fully slide the wheel back and forth you can keep your hands where they are at all times. I tend to use 720/900 for normal cars or 540 for racers like LMP's. Once you get used to it you will start loving it.

thxs i'll try that later as far as I know it's normal steering do you use v49 for the wheel I've adjusted the feedback and the sensitive down too about 50% when it was on 100% it far too much for my arms over along time let my know what you have done. alan

I have vibration at 100% as it lets you know when grip is going etc but feedback down at 65% I think - as you say its brutal lower down.

Use these wheel settings they are pretty spot on;

Sensitivity can be adjusted too which makes a difference;

You can definitely do this in free play - at the page where your menu reads |start race|game options|select car|select track|load tune|assists| just select game options and the number of laps can be changed up to 50.

Just picked up the limited edition, £349 in store at Tesco. Have to say I didn't realise how blue it actually is, thought it would be a blue-grey going from the photos! Oh well, just need to wait a few hours for it to download now

Anyone else had an issue where the game just won't play? Mines starts up shows the turn 10 bit then gets stuck on the fm6 screen with the GT tail light. Have reset the console twice and nothing.

If my game has corrupted I'll be binning it, hardly kept me interested through the 'career'(only to find out the only variation is to do the same race in a different fking car!) to warrant me wanting to do it again.

Working fine for me. My main gripe at the moment is how inconsistent the AI is, as in most races one will fly off ahead of the pack. Since they're only 2-3 laps long if I get a bad start I have no hope of catching him. Reading around it seems like a lot of people are experiencing this, and Turn 10 are "aware of the problem"

Play in a lower class, at least you'll get rammed of the track by something different...

Yes and yes, release time will probably be tonight, as that's Tuesday morning in USA time. Bottom story on Week In Review, with a link to the DLC clue thread. http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/wir_10_2...
