Garage Wednesday: 1969 McLaren M8B Can-Am car and 1966 M2B Formula One car. And after the Volvo touring car last week, its the 850R this week (doesn't say saloon or estate though).

1993 Clio Williams! I really do like the way they're thinking with this car list. http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/fm%5E_fo...
Yet to be announced but mentioned by Dan Greenwalt in an interview during E3..... Touring cars!
He didn't mention which type but maybe along the lines of the Polestar touring car already announced.
In the interview he also confirmed that clubs and sharing cars, tunes etc is definitely out but interestingly he stated that there will be a new way for creators (tuners, painters) to get stuff out there and get rewarded. He also said they've made it easier for players to access tunes, paints and vinyls very quickly and even in a lobby.

Until the xbone gets a decent, affordable wheel( circa usd200) then I don't see the point of trying to create a simulator.
For me playing with a good force feed back wheel and pedals ( fanatic style) is the very essence of driving games, using a controller simply destroys all the hard work the programmers have done to make you feel like your there.
I also question the statement of Porsche being in it in 2017, in 2017 I'm pretty sure they will make forza 7 and stick them in that.
Still, no question it looks nice and shiny, and I so wish project cars allowed you to personalize your car, online racing feels more realistic with it( plus you could easily spot who punted you off at the last corner!)
Turn 10, allow backwards compatibility of wheels and I'm sure many more people will flock to this game and enjoy it, but until then I just can't get excited.

A: you won't get a decent wheel for less than about $300, which is what you can find the Thrustmaster TX for online. Logitech are bringing out an Xbox One wheel but I wouldn't expect change from $400. If you want a Fanatec that will work with the Xbox One, then you're looking at about $900 just for the wheel base and the rim, not including pedals. If you're dead set on not spending more than $200 then try the Thrustmaster 458 Italia wheel but don't expect much. It's got nothing to do with Turn 10 allowing or disallowing anything. Microsoft moved to a completely different communications protocol for peripherals with the Xbox One and Turn 10 don't get to tell the console hardware team what they can or can't do.For me playing with a good force feed back wheel and pedals ( fanatic style) is the very essence of driving games, using a controller simply destroys all the hard work the programmers have done to make you feel like your there.

I hope this game has the Forza Vista mode that Forza 5 had where you can explore the cars.
If so a lot of time will be spent drooling in the Virtual Toyota 2000GT
Great way to explore cars you are unlikely to ever own!
also great to see the 05 Elise in there!

The rewards and tiers have changed. I only noticed when I claimed my reward and got 200k, I'm Tier 7 and got 2.1m last month. So, what they've done is made the rewards weekly, and moved the points levels between levels to be more even. Explanation here http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/wir_7_31.... I'm still not sure whether there are glitches, as 200k isn't 2.1m / 4. I think the credit expires each week if you don't claim it too.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed on here, couldn't see it glancing through, but the main reason why I've spent countless hours on previous Forza games and probably only about 15 max on F5 was simply because of the ridiculous way the game made you choose which cars to race which events.
For example on F3 & F4 there were tons of events & some where very specific with what cars to use. Like had to have a front engine mounted V8 or a Japanese car with no higher than a class B rating & I loved that. The fact that you could also mod some cars so they would then qualify for certain events was thoroughly enjoyable as well. & those are just examples of the 100+ events those games had.
Then on F5 and Horizon 2 they introduced the events limitations as vague descriptions. Like 90s tourers or Italian supers & instead of having set regulations so you could go and explore the cars available yourself, & like I said, be creative and modify something so that it would then qualify for the event, instead they just have a set list of cars for each event. Extremely limiting the diversity in the races. I can sort of understand trying to keep the events at a certain style so the variation in cars aren't hugely different, but I think that's what made the races so fun. Like doing an E class (the performance index, not the Mercedes) only race and you can have anything from Corsas to Hummers taking part. Or an all wheel drive coupe event, you can have the off the shelf options like Gallardos & Carrera 4s or you could grab a Supra and modify the drive-train & other bits to get it to those other cars PI. None of that allowed now it seems.
So I've only just realised that F6 is coming out next month & this is seriously making me think is it worth it? Has anyone seen anything online about this & if it's back to the way it was or similar?

I've been telling myself I won't buy 6, but it did look impressive amongst a whole host of impressive xbox titles. Finally looks like the quality of games is about to significantly step up.
