Well, I was trying to decide if it was worth getting an XBox One for Fallout 4, this really adds some weight to the argument!
It's worth watching all of XBox's Gamescom presentation. Some incredible stuff coming.

an E class (the performance index, not the Mercedes)
I like how the scummy PH ad links are having none of your nonsense and links that to the E class section of the classifieds.
I made sure to write that to avoid genuine confusion & also deter the arsey members of Pistonheads from saying something to exploit it. Didn't even occur to me about ad bots....oh well, all the more reason to make that statement tongue out

Garage week 7. Many American cars, and some others announced with the achievement list, including the Lotus E23 F1 car and the BAC Mono. http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/fm6_gara...

I havent really been paying close attention to Forza 6 but I was surprised to hear that there was no day/night transitions at all. I thought that Forza Horizon had it so it must be a given that Forza 6 will use the same system. Can anyone tell me why this has been omitted?

It'll be because the system isn't powerful enough to do everything at once. 1080/60 is already a stretch, so when you put in all the other things needed for day/night transitions it's likely they wouldn't hit that target.

I'm gutted, I really hoped for a realistic simulation of LM24 with dynamic weather, but that's out of the window now. Hell, you can't even have night + rain together, which sucks.

It makes you appreciate what Project Cars has actually achieved. It has its fair share of problems but the lighting effects are spectacular.

prepared for controversy but I found Forza five visually stunning but only mildly engaging in terms of gameplay...

sorry but the repetetive tracks and quick races in the "league" mode got boring after about 60 gold awards...

visuals amazing, engagement much less so...

I'd go along with that. Definitely prefer the Project CARS approach, doing away with the grind of driving corsas and other city cars. I've never enjoyed driving the slower cars whether its Forza or GT. Race cars are where the interest is for me.

There was one thing I noticed about Forza 5 that was a bit shoddy. I don't know if they ever sorted it with a patch. But I remember first playing the game & putting uprated brakes & wheels on cars they would collide and clip through one another. So these massive red brake calipers would be sticking through the wheels. Didn't impress for what was a next gen title.

I'm the complete opposite I loved the early Gran Turismo games. Having to save up for parts for my Mazda Demio and the joy of buying bigger and better cars.

In the first couple of gt games I'll concede I did have fun. The anticipation of bigger and better things was compelling but once you've gone through the grind once or twice, combined with more demands on my time, it became stale quite soon.

Lots of off-road cars coming through...will there be mud to drive them on? Super excited about having a Metro to drive, even if it isn't a 1.0 HLE.

Ford will use the game telemetry data from us lot driving the Ford GT as part of its info for its Le Mans GT racing car. Even if you drive like a muppet (ahem sillywavey ) http://www.topgear.com/car-news/future-tech/gaming...

True, but there's different types of DLC.

There's the good kind that adds additional content onto the, already full, game which prolongs its life.

Then there's the scummy kind, which cuts the full game into four quarters & upon release only includes the first 75% & then slowly releases the rest of the game over several months. Making you pay for the full game in extra installments. The fact that some games come with a DLC "season pass" option as soon as the game is released just takes the piss frankly.

It just rubs the fact in that the game already has more content & it's like "This isn't the complete game, you know it, I know it, why don't you just pay the extra £70 now & get it over with?"

I agree with you that if people deliberately hold things back at launch it's a bit of a dick move, but we have no way of telling which is which. Almost every game I've bought in the last 2-3 years has come with a season pass at launch. The only one I've ever bought is the battlefield 3 one, and they just released some new content, 2 years after launch which is quite nice. For me, the season passes for Forzas aren't worth it because I don't play enough to justify them.

However, I think Forza 6 will initially come with far more cars and tracks than Forza 5 did with launch, but there will definitely be a year of car packs etc.
