fking hate fking night fking runs.

I do love the palpable sense of dread it gives me though, creeping across buildings at night, surrounded by groaning, shambling zombies before the shock of the nasty fasties smile

Been a while since a game stimulated on anything other than a visual level for me.

Got this last week, about 20% through the story I think. Enjoying it so far.

Daytime is easy, zombies can be trolled and most other foes are predictable.

Night time is bloody terrifying and I hate it laugh

But I guess that's the atmosphere they were aiming for.

One major bug with me though, is why doesn't the game autosave when you sleep at a Safe Zone?!

I see. Haven't played those.

Something was puzzling me. And now I remember. There was the Spark Shot gun in Resident Evil 2 (showing my age wink).

"The weapon can be obtained by Claire Redfield in the Factory Passage. It is basically a large sized electrical weapon with an effective range of 10 feet. It is the counterpart to Leon's flamethrower."

Tissue sample from a bolter - how the hell do you get this!?

The 'zones' are crawling with big nasties.

How do you deal with the zombie that gobs green goo at you at the radio tower when you're working for this Rais character?

My solution was to run away and get trapped on a roof at night hehe

Find a bolter that is really close to a safe house, run out at night, crack him over the head and then peg it back to the safe house.
Don't sleep and just wait it out until morning. The body will still be there and you will be able to collect the sample.
The safe house i used was to the left of the main tower, when looking at the map.

Take out that big bugger first, but lure him away from the spitter.
Once he is down, run around the back of the sheds/garages towards the park area, and lure the zombies to you and take them out when they are trying to climb over the fence.
Once they have been taken out, run towards the spitter and climb up the garage. You'll be spat at but just keep hitting that bugger until he is down; and make sure you have many medikits.

Molotov / exploding throwing star.

The bang might draw some infected, but you should be alright during the day. There's a few of those spitters knocking about later on, they're quite easy to dispatch.

There's a safe house that is really near a bolter feeding zone, right next to it. Wait until darkness, then when you can see a bolter feeding just hop over, bosh him over the head, grab the sample (takes about 3 seconds) and then jump back into the safehouse. Was easy peasy. Did it so quickly that no zombies got anywhere near, and none of the st scary fast night zombies even heard or saw me.

People will pay for the convenience.

I paid £25 from Game for the PC version and 3 DLC packs.

It came the next day.
