If anyone has tried to challenge where you have to shoot 60 zombies with the assault rifle in two minutes, you have surely plumbed the depths of gaming. I'm fairly certain this was not play tested.

I'm quickly reaching the point where I feel like life is too short to play steaming heaps of st like this.

I just spent 40 minutes trying to do this before I almost spear tackled my tv in frustration. I got 57!! And that was only once, most times I'm finishing in the high 40's
Try the one where you have to break their legs.
I just gave up on this challenge.

That one isn't too bad, just crouch and then swing, you'll smash a their legs easily. If you run out of targets you can get some extra broken legs by targeting unbroken legs on downed zombies that have gone down with a fracture.

That weapon challenge for the assault rifle is a right turd. I tried it about five times and was never closer than 3 or 4 kills to actually finishing it, so I never bothered.
Took me a few goes. BUT there is a simple way - kill the guys in the square first (use exploding stars on the runners). Then leg it up the hill to a large group and mow them down, then leg it back down into the station itself and turn right onto the edge of the platform, and mow them down as you walk. The whole time you have to exploding star kill the runners or else you can never reload...

Loving some of the side missions, but this game is basically Dead Island with free running (which is fun!)... Actually it is still pretty damn fine.

Grenades - why are they so useless?

And does anyone else just stand on a bus, lob firecrackers down, then molotovs onto the rabble. Rinse and repeat, and each time a runner (newly infected) comes along, just kick him off and exploding star them?!?

Also, there is an air drop at the top left of the Slums, how on earth can you get it? I get there and the zombies just keep attacking (even if I kill them in the area) whilst I try to pick the lock...

Did anyone get the temporary power punch / kick 'cheat' the other day? Looked hilarious on YouTube, dropkicks sending zombies flying 50 feet!

Yup had great fun with it. Didn't need to use my weapons, I just kicked everyone away!

I spend some time gathering string & alcohol until I get a decent amount of molotovs, then head to the bridge across the bay and work my way towards the central span (where the road deck has collapsed).
There are usually two massive concentrations of zombies, both of which I dispatch using one of a few preferred methods;

Suicide runs into the group to draw them to a bus then molotov / flammable liquid,
Firecrackers from the bus, then molotov / flammable liquid,
Rifle shots to the head, then molotovs / flammable liquid,
or just a good old charge in with the sabre / cleaver / machete.

The middle two options guarantee runners / volatiles, so dispatch with kicks to the head as they climb the bus or slicing off limbs.

Sometimes I toy with them by jumping between buses before slicing them mid air.
