My parents were relaxed about video games when I was young (and not in a "I can't be bothered to see what they're up to" way) and I personally feel it was a good thing.

We'll stick a horror film on and the Mrs will be shrieking and jumping around while I'm there not bothered.

When you grew up as a 10 year old playing Resident Evil in the pitch black, running through boarded up corridors full of zombies.... :big laugh:
Good for you. I'm 25, played the demo for the new silent hill that was on the ps4. I don't think I've ever jumped so much in my life. I was out my chair and in the hallway shrieking, faster then I thought I could move.

It's only really the people online you need to worry about, I played it when I was younger and there was lots of abuse/swearing, however I loved playing online with mates and it was great fun, now I don't even play cod as i see as a teenagers game.
I'd let him play with his mates and let him play full stop if he isn't using the headset/kinect.

Well he has got it but we a limiting his playing to the campaigns and the 2 player when he has a friend in the house.

He says that if he plays on line, that he would mute the headsets so we will look at this in a while.

I agree mate, the worse thing about the game would be the abuse/language from other players. That's why I suggested his son mute the other players. Feel sorry for all the kids that have come up against Daz and Thainy. smile
Myself and Daz had a little reminisce session last month, i do recall you and Chunty being pretty bad too! hehe

ETA: Quite often there were young kids giving as good as they got and i actually got in to a bit of a heated discussion with someones mother online once. I shouldn't have been swearing apparently so i pointed out it was an 18 certificate and it all went quiet. Definitely mute other players.

I took to playing porn down the mic in the end, wonder how that went down with the kiddies laugh

Though i remember once being asked to stop swearing as someones son was also playing who was 12/13

Haven't most 12/13 year olds these days heard every curse word under the sun by now anyway? Mostly use all of them when out of ear shot of their parents.

Yes mate I joined in as well but you and Daz were on another level. You two use to protect us all lol. I've heard on the grapevine that you've moved mate? Hope life's treating you good and you've taken your ps4 with you.

Your Son will be fine playing online just make sure he mutes other players as said. Randomly check on him and if he hasn't muted people just take it off him for a few days. Or tell him go in party chat with his mates and he will be too busy chatting to them that listening to expletives.
