Sorted. Could do with a clear background though.
I'll have a look and try to change it today the only issue is that the black PH logo might not be very visible on dark backgrounds without the white square around it.marcgti6 said:

I've just got an i7 Lenovo laptop with a 2gb Geforce and GTAV runs really nicely on it on about medium settings, some slight stuttering when driving around fast but apart from that it's really good.
Thanks for that. Looks like I might have to invest then Early i7 with 8 gig ram and a Geforce 460 1.5gb . When I first ran it it flagged up a warning saying the CPU wasn't up to scratch but seems fine to me.

After having the same thoughts as you Ive just got it today and its running at 1080p with settings fairly high on my 3 year old Asus laptop with just the odd stutter.

Currently downloading it. Running an i5 4460 (3.2ghz) and an R9 280X so hopefully it should look pretty good on my 32" tv.
Runs great and so much fun. I think a lot of other developers could learn a thing or two from Rockstar, perhaps Ubisoft could actually sort out the buggyness that comes with just about all the Assassin's Creed games?MK4 Slowride said:
It worked ok on the Xbox and looks tidier.
I've had a play about with the logo, it's too tricky to simply change the background to clear due to all the different shapes in the design so I guess it'll have to do until I or someone else can be bothered to start a new logo again...sorry!Could always ask one of the Xbox or PS guys to join the PC crew temporarly and upload their logo to the PC crew page.

Anyone know why I may be experiencing, what i can only describe, lag. When moving around quickly on the map, in single player mode; that being driving around at full speed on a bike, sports car.
It will seem smooth at first, but if i can drive for maybe 15/20 seconds at full speed, there is a lag effect on the screen; it's as if a couple of frames are lost.
I have a PC with 16GB RAM, i7 4770k processor, 290x AMD and a 250GB Samsung Pro SSD.
The game was also downloaded from Steam, if that makes any difference.
The drivers for the AMD is the latest stable release.
And finally i'm not running the game with everything in ultra. I've dropped the settings down, so it's a mixture of 'high' and 'very high' with DX11. On the guide, it shows that i'm using about 2.6GB of video memory.
Thanks

It looks laggy but doesn't feel it? could be screen tear? Try enabling Vsync if its not already or turn it off it it is? It will seem smooth at first, but if i can drive for maybe 15/20 seconds at full speed, there is a lag effect on the screen; it's as if a couple of frames are lost.

I'm running a standard 290 (non-x version) card and an AMD fx-8350 with only 8gb of RAM and it runs like a dream so your system should be more than capable of running it smoothly with most stuff completely maxed out.
Just a word of warning, check your Windows isn't set to install updates automatically.
It has the habit of waiting till you've nearly completed a mission online and are flying the objective plane AND you've reached 'terminal' height before automatically restarting the whole PC.
I can only presume everyone in the plane died in a spectacular fire ball but I will never know, at least it gave me a 'Good Sport' bonus when I reconnected....
