I'm currently playing it on the PS4 with my T300RS. I'll report back later....
Just done the ring in a Group 5 BMW 320T.
Good so far...
Whats it like compared to Drive club or Gran turismo for example?Just done the ring in a Group 5 BMW 320T.

AI seem really good, you have to physically race them, no barging around like GT5/6. Had a race with 35 LMP cars and it was awesome picking my way through. Had AI at 70% and will slowly ramp it up, but at 70 you have to race well, you cock up and your at the back trying to hang on.
Game is buttery smooth, 36 cars on track no issues. Everything looks very good, lighting etc. Lots of views to choose between, good cockpit views.
Physics wise I need to go in and make some adjustments, change wheel sensitivity a bit, get driving aids off and see what the cars do when you start pushing. My initial thoughts are that its a good compromise, real enough for a sim guy to be happy, but not so impossibly hard that a typical gamer would run a mile...its defo more sim than arcade.
But the adjustability and depth of the settings is where us geeks will get our kicks, tons of info given and opportunity to customise the cars and events - it's a proper racing game.
Give me a bit more time.
Wow just had an awesome time on Brands Hatch. 30 Clio Cup cars, full race weekend - it was awesome.
Had the AI on 70 and it was great. I think its the best 30mins I have had on a Console....
So far I have tried,
FF at Donington
320T Gp 5 at the Ring
F1 at Spa
LM at Spa
LM at Dubai
Macca P1 at Donington
Classic 78 F1 at Monaco
Clio Cups at Brands
I think its a case of starting low and building up, by far the most fun I had out of all those was the Clio Cup race. Been kicked off so the Mrs can feed me, but after dinner I am going to start a Career.
So far so good, I am not disappointed yet. Although I think I will spend 10mins looking through all the settings and try tinkering with the wheel settings. As far as the wheel goes the T300RS is performing great and is much better with this game than Drive club, you can really feel the grip loading up through the wheel and it does give you bit of an idea whats going on (for a game).

From my limited experience Id agree, it would be a great starting point.
They are great fun, can be a handful if you are too rough with them - BUT then the speed is manageable enough that some of the lesser drivers will still be able to compete. Also being slower its not too bad on a control pad, where the F1 and LMP cars are much easier with the wheel as you can carve the lines on fast tracks like Spa.
p.s As soon as you turn the game on, it forces you to do a 2 lap LMP race in Dubai - once you have completed that race you then open up all the other options.

Much harder than driveclub, you cock up your off, can't just get in a car and drive it like your a hero. You adjust to the car and drive properly can feel massive differences between each car and I've only driven a few. Road cars are st, i.e realistic.

Can't wait!
Playing online now, works a treat. 16 E30 M3's around Monaco was awesome, loads of people online.
The format was brilliant, good menus to find games quick and easy. 16 cars, 5min quali and then a 5 lap race!
Quali was mayhem, contact on with 16 cars going out on track straight away, I sat back got some clear space and then put it in 2nd on the grid.
In the lobby you can force settings for identical cars etc so it's fair, set P1, P2, quali, warm up and race. You can also force set driver aids on or off, tyre wear, fuel etc.
Awesome fun.

Nah, I haven't noticed that you can save them. Well after the first few races online I have to say the online part is great.
I have just done several races with the same lobby of 10-16 people on spa and Nurburgring gp track in gt4 cars. With the driving aids on it is a little easy, but as you can match the cars performance it makes an awesome race! The cars also sound great, I've had the volume right up all night!
Really looking forward to some PH races, setting up a lobby should be very easy.

Currently waiting for the 0001 timing!
My wheel and seat arrived today, so got it setup tonight, and started playing driveclub. Was actually enjoying the game for once, but then realised that being 'online' was slowing my download down. no no no. Even if I only get an hour before bed tonight, I will have a go!
Got most of tomorrow to play before I head to thruxton woohoo!

You're all a bad influence on me! How much did that wheel and pedals set you back?My wheel and seat arrived today, so got it setup tonight, and started playing driveclub. Yep, T300 RS.
£247 from yoyotech (although think i was robbed now seeing as blanyey got his so cheap!)
Seat was £157 from boystuff.co.uk, by far the cheapest I could find aswell.
Like I said, it's actually made drive club a bearable game now... So hopefully it'll make Project Cars even better.
Plus it's a foldable chair, but you can leave the wheel on, so you can go from living room to race car in a matter of moments.
