Is anyone else having problems playing the digital version?
I was online when PSN went down last night, and now its locked saying the licence cannot be checked.
I cannot log into PSN every time, its also saying my PS4 isn't activated as the primary one, and when I try to do that it says I need to deactivate the other one first.
I haven't activated any other PS4! frown
i was on earlier with no issues but best to contact sony support (good luck with them) as seems more of an issue with PSN than project cars

Yep, so it seems. Google shows tons of other people having similar problems regarding primary PS4 settings.
Looks like I might not be able to play it for 6 fking months at this rate!
Ive emailed them but not holding my breath.
Well and truly pissed off to say the least....

Anyone got a thrustmaster T80?

I just bought one off ebay for £57. I couldn't really justify spending hundreds on one.

Any good?

Had a bit of an epiphany last night.

I was previously disheartened that I couldn't use the RUF GT3 as it just rotates off the track. A few tweeks to tire pressures, brake balance and sway bars and I was holding awesome drifts into the tight bends, really satisfying.

The more benign Audi and Mclaren are easier to post fast times with but for outright fun it was hard to beat - best moment for me in the game so far.

I am useless at that sort of thing - sounds interesting though as I love that car despite not being that quick in it.

I also cant figure out how to consult the engineer for car set up, unless missing something

I just use the rather simplistic guidance notes in the same screen as you make the adjustment.

Dropped rear tyre pressure and raised front tyre pressure a few PSI to counter over-steer. Pumped up front brake bias to 65% and soften the front sway bar...

Give it a try. It's still a demanding car but as I say, so much more fun than going round on rails....

There is an element of the AI on career mode which is really annoying me. I'm trying to qualify at Brands for one of the European road car events. It starts to rain heavily about 2 laps into qualifying which really slows me down. The AI cars however, seem pretty much unaffected by the weather. Same with the race. Heavy rain at the start and, all the AI cars go flying round the corners as if it is a dry track!

Very annoying!

Same when they go onto the grass at times I find, I had one AI driver match my pace while he was on the grass then beat me into a corner!!

Just debating getting the T300RS now, however from what I read online the brake pedal feel isn't great.

PS thanks Doublesix!

Mine arrives on Monday, I too read about the pedals not being amazing but they can be upgraded if you dont get on with them

Well.. last night proved Im not ready to venture online. Doing GT3s with the PH crew and I could only put about 1/2 a lap together without going for a spin.

The first two races I joined were with AI included. What the hell is that all about. I started at the back with them and they just smashed me all over the place.

Ah no, thats a shame. Well for less than £60 it was worth a punt. Didn't really fancy spending hundreds on one. I haven't used a wheel before so hopefully having nothing to compare it too I will be happy with it.

Not sure if I was on that race too - AI smashed into me a few times in the first race!!

Not sure what camera views everyone uses but I use mainly bumper cam or cockpit cam depending on the car, however I just tried helmet cam at Silverstone in Formula C and Gulf 1000 classes, it was bloody awesome as your head turned heading into the corners. Didn't work quite so well in Formula A & B due to the complicated steering wheels and lower driving position.

Also for anyone struggling with a control, I just did this small mod and in the words of today's kids OMG!!!

Get a washing up sponge (you may need to ask girlfriend/wife/mum* what one is), cut out a small square then put a hole in the middle and ease it over the left stick, gives some resistance on the steering and helps prevent lock to lock flicks and high speed cornering a doddle.
