Right sorry been away for a while piston-heads2 league will come live in about 30 minutes for the ps4.

Tried to limit the crazyness a bit this time so less snow stages in the dark!

Wet tarmac in that car is terrifying. Bad enough to drive on dry tarmac - very keen to swap ends. Don't think I worried my PBs on the hill at all...

Well, I've done the first 2 stages. I may complain about my co-driver, I may think that he lies to me sometimes about the road ahead. But, I sure missed him today!! Cheers to whoever chose rain for the first bit - you evil genius, you!! On my first run, I think I needed to recover the car within the first 2 corners hehe

Anyway, as is now the tradition, video of my spectacularly bad effort on stage 2 here (forgot to record stage 1). I was very lucky I didn't roll it!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BP3jbWtcGro

I really can't see me making it through the full course without crashing!! Fun though thumbup

Updated the wiki a bit. For some reason the xbox site is reluctant to show me times...

Well speckle I may have done even better than the first two corners, I hit the post with the back right hand side which sent me pirouetting off the left to recovery after about 1 second. So funny,
Like you said it is evil in the rain

This will be ending this Monday! It seemed like ages away when I set it up. Are people interested in another season?

Well that was tricky to say the least, like speckle i like to have my co driver along side me, managed a barrel roll on one stage but landed on my wheels and kept going so hardly lost any time.

Looks like i am only one on xbox to do these stages so far, would have put GSIJimbos times on wiki page but not sure which one he is.

At least the latest update means you can't play it on the PS4 with a wheel now. Great.

That doesn't sound good, working fine on Xbox after update.

Glad it wasn't just me then, I thought my wheel/PS4/copy of dirt was fked!

I decided to do a practice to get my eye in before the stages only to find the car was literally undriveable!! Then got an error saying that my presets were no longer valid and had been deleted....wtf?!!

Unfortunately, this morning was the last chance I had this week to put a time in so, I spent the next 20 minutes trying to change the setup to something vaguely driveable! Force feedback is weak as st again and can't be changed!

Stage 3 was okay-sh but, the car had no 'feel' whatsoever! As for the full course, on tarmac, the car was like a boat and on gravel, it just wanted to understeer and my wheel inputs barely seemed to register in the game. Nursed it through the first 2 stages but, had 4 recoveries on the final sector of the final stage (by which time I'd given up tbh) and finished with a time of 11:24. A stty end to 5 weeks of rallying furious

Honestly, I don't think this last event should count for anyone with a wheel on PS4.

Whatever they've done, they had better fking fix it and restore my settings as I can't see myself playing it again in it's current state

ETA - it appears that they have also tweaked Pikes Peak handling for faster times (typical that it would be half way through our Pikes Peak event!!) So, pre-patch and post-patch times won't be a fair comparison!

In light of all this, I suggest that we declare this week void. Give them a chance to sort out the PS4 thrustmaster issues and then run it again next week...

eekeekeek Don't put me through that again, I'd say leave pc and xbox and let ps4 try again lol Can't see them sorting it by next week, they would have to release a new patch and that takes time.

Don't think many had completed it pre patch anyway.

If it isn't fixed by next week, there won't be any point anyway as the league will be finished and points allocated.

If they do fix it, I honestly think re-running this week's event is the fairest way for anyone who wants to but, if you would rather your current time stands, that's fine (you realise you'll be at a disadvantage with pre-patch times, right? I mean, you'll probably still win but, still wink )

I just want a fair crack at it with a working car! mad

Please note the pistonheads2 event 1 has been set up wrong with a choice of cars. Please go for the Mini's as twonpeople have already started it in these.

My time will show for a renault 5 for the first stage but i will take no further part in event 1 to make it fair. Apologies for setting it up wrong.

My xbox updated yesterday as i turned it on to do this weeks event so i would just stick with my time, although now ive got used to the track i might improve idea

But as i said earlier be very suprised if anything changes, patches usually take a couple of weeks to be verified by microsoft/sony.

What do you mean? I thought we could choose a single event to discount (so, obviously my DNF at Monte Carlo), are you saying I can choose another?

My Dirt Rally disc went on the shelf today, for the first time since purchase. It is basically unplayable until they fix whatever they broke. frown
