Going to have to buy a new PC then if rallying's sexiest car ,even ahead of the Stratos, is included.

I was looking forward to this as a flat out hardcore sim, but the reviews I've found reckon it's quite arcade like.

Can anyone comment either way? It it means anything, I'm a massive, massive fan of Richard Burns Rally...

I used to loved the CMR games on the early PS platforms and was hoping this would be as enjoyable on the PS4.

Well, it's probably not as sim-like as RBR. But it is *more* (a lot more) sim-like than the previous dirt games. That is, you can't just mash the go pedal to 100% and keep it there, you have to feather the throttle. The game will accept left foot braking while also accelerating, the FFB is pretty good, and the setups do make a difference.

Don't know if it's been mentioned already, but ProjectCars 2 is due out end of this year with rally/rallycross in it.

I would say it is very difficult and pretty sim like. Very similar to RBR in that regard, but much much prettier smile

Dunno what reviews you've been reading but no, it's not arcady in the slightest: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/03/dirt-rally-r...

I have the Alpha/beta and if the progress of the first game is anything to go by, from where it is now, I wouldn't expect this out at the end of the year. It's progressing well, but still a lot to do.

Impact v7 FFB mod is a must IMO, The standard FFB is pretty disappointing especially on tarmac/Concrete as there is next to no feedback. Lucky us PC users can use mods like these, I hope this is addressed for the console release.

I tried that back when I first got the wheel and never got on with it. Maybe because I just didn't know what FFB was supposed to be like; currently using porkhammer's G27 setup. Might give it another bash.

The standard ffb is lacking. Do either of those make it more like Asseto Corsa?

I think porkhammer's is quite good. Only played AC a bit, so can't really remember it. </uselesspost>

Although I do like AC, I find the constant "chatter" of the FFB really annoying. I'm going to keep an eye out for FFB mods for Dirt Rally though. Haven't played any racing game for a couple of weeks unless you count Motorsport Manager on my iPad wink

You won't be. It's the best rally game I've played in years. Edging 150 hours in it now.

When i was running standard FFB i was avoiding Tarmac, Now with Impacts MOD i'm enjoying tarmac as much as the loose surfaces, It does a good job, I havent tried porkhammers smile
