Dirt Rally.. looks promising!

Well the Microsoft sidewinder FFB works well (usb version). Really enjoying it. I can easily win with the Mini on the Monty. Other stages I am struggling with, you need to be perfect to win. Occasionally I can get a fastest sector split, but that is it. I am saving up for an E30 M3.
What is the DXTweak ? I haven't heard of that.

A handy little program if you ever have problems calibrating a sidewinder, It was bought to my attention years ago as i couldnt get my throttle and brake pedals to calibrate seperately in a game i cannot remember, Worth downloading and keeping somewhere if you ever get problems calibrating it.What is the DXTweak ? I haven't heard of that.

I'm running it on Ultra on a GTX660Ti and an overclocked Q9300 @3.3GHz (no i anything here!) - Runs really well, I was half expecting to have to back the settings off but it runs fine.
Oh, and last rally of the professional series I won the whole event in wales by about 10 seconds, dead chuffed - the E30 M3 is excellent, very adjustable on the limit.

Has anyone joined the reddit league by the way? There's about 20 hours left to do the first event.

I really would love this game. But I don't have a PC. Only an old lap top and a PS3.
Would you wait to see if it's released on consoles? Or is it worth investing in a system? If so what would be a good set up to buy?
You'd have to put so much money in to a decent PC setup to play it on high/ultra settings that it's really not worth it. It may make it on to consoles at a later date, after all it's a lot simpler to port games over than it used to be.Would you wait to see if it's released on consoles? just as a heads up im running i5 760(stock) and a gigabyte gtx460 soc on medium i get a pretty solid 60 with the occasional drop to 54 at the lowest on 1080. Thinking a gtx970 might be a worthy upgrade when funds allow.
I'm running an OC'd 970 and everything setting is maxed out and it's silky smooth at all times. You really do have to turn off all driver aids to make it reasonably controllable. Was quite dispiriting at first as off the pace and off the track. Everything off and it's enjoyable.
Going to have to reinvest in a wheel etc. My last wheel binned itself just as getting to grips with RBR. Half a turn to the right and it would electronically go on full left lock, made things a bit tricky.

I found that turning the FFB off made it much more playable....I've never played racing games without FFB (since PS1 days with the MadCatz anyway ) but I found it so confusing with it on that it's far better switched off IMO. If they get that sorted, as well as the questionable momentum of the cars, it will be an epic experience!Going to have to reinvest in a wheel etc. My last wheel binned itself just as getting to grips with RBR. Just shy of 15 mins with my first try using the 405 T16... Ari I am most definitely not!
I'm sure we've all seen this but here's the aspiration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEuZG37gFdM
