Not sure about these upcoming credit changes in 0.13. On the surface it seems like a nice buff but from reading the comments on the (now closed) forum topic it seems that unless you do REALLY well in the battle you'll actually make LESS credits than you do in 0.12 because of this new "insurance cost" they are implementing.

As usual, the official article is light on detail and in fact doesn't mention anything about these supposed "insurance costs" at all :

https://aw.my.com/us/news/general/developer-diary-...

There is much speculation and supposition about it on the forum thread :

https://aw.my.com/en/forum/showthread.php?58605-Up...

Bottom of page 20 mentions some of the battle costs but doesn't quote any source so no idea if those are what they will actually be or not. No official word on them from OE or their spokespeople.

They did however confirm later in that thread that there will be no individual bonuses for AFVs (or any other tank) completing the secondaries as "We didn't want players to fight over who got to the secondary objective first. Plus this could create a situation where a player blindly goes after a secondary objective without making sure it was safe to do so."

So as the vast majority of the battle earnings are based on actual damage done then not only will I still be expected (as an AFV) to do the secondaries with no personal reward, depriving myself of damage credits for shooting at enemies, but as an AFV I am already at a disadvantage to MBTs and TDs by having no armour to face off against other enemies, a much lower pen gun and also lower DPM so my end battle credit score will naturally be lower yet I still get the same "insurance cost" as MBTs and TDs deducted from that amount. Seems balanced...... rolleyes

We'll have to see how it works out. They're making secondary objectives more important, but on some maps they're virtually impossible to get. Kodiak and Perseus in particular.

If one of the secondaries on Kodiak spawns in A3 behind the building you have no chance of completing them on hard mode. It's guarded by just about every type of tank in the game.

Perseus is another one which becomes very hard if the 3rd one spawns in the NW corner. I'm about 65% successful capturing that one by yolo-ing straight up through the river in my Fox but I'll be on about 2HP by the time I get to the bunker. Now if you can get up on to the top of that mountain I was telling you about... wink

No I'm "Shininglight", like in WoT.

Very imaginative I know.

Actually it's from a song by Ash.

Nice one. I told you it was OP.

I'm liking the T-80 at the moment. Small, mobile and hits really hard. It even has rather nasty missiles it can fire down the barrel.

This is the best game I've had with it so far, and the most damage with any vehicle:

I didn't even finish first. That was the Challenger who fought a last stand with me on Banshee. He did about 22K damage, but got more spots than me.

Nice! But wait.. 25k damage and 44k coins vs <10k damage and 40k coins? scratchchin Seems legit. scratchchin OK you got twice as much XP as me but XP is pretty much worthless in PVE, it's all about the coins. I'd have been disappointed with the coins if that had been my game. 30 rounds of ammo seems low to me too, ignoring the missiles. How often do you burn through your repair kit? Banshee is one of those maps where you can easily run out of ammo and still have tanks to kill.

How's your bonus collecting going? I got as far as the 2nd day bonus then couldn't be arsed with the rest. laugh

Reload kits are 20K credits at tier 7 and I had to use one in that game. It's not often I need to actually, but the bot spawn on Banshee is insane (40+). I used all my rounds and all 10 missiles before I did so.

I've been collecting all the bonuses and got the day of premium last night. You have to manually activate it, so you can save them for later if you want.

The early bonuses aren't that great, but the last 2 are nice.

I believe the figure you see on the first page is your gross figure before deductions so if you used the reload kit that would be 20K off that figure. It would show you in the other tab.

Heys guys, a little tip for you on PVE Stormy Night, particularly on hard mode. This is a hard operation without decent MBT players as the moment you trigger the cap there's about 4 waves of AI MBTs appear and you get completely overwhelmed. I've just played it in my ERC with 2x BMD2s and a couple of useless MBTs who died in first couple of mins. Unfortunately we lost the last BMD2 as he reversed down the slope from cap into my tank and killed himself so I was left on 100HP trying to defend cap with about 15 AI floating around me with no ammo left. I've found that if you're looking at the cap circle from the back of the map, if you go the left hand side of the gas storage chamber in the cap circle and get tight up against it but only with the tiniest fraction of your tank in the circle for the countdown to start, you can actually cap it out without them shooting at you. I was in about 3/4 view of an MBT who was aiming at me but wouldn't shoot and I think it's because they're programmed to aim at the centre of your hull, but he couldn't see it, only the front corner. Obviously you need to clear up all those in the snowy area first so they can't shoot you from behind, but I capped it out and won the game which is normally impossible on your own on hard mode. thumbup

I know where you mean. I've had to sneak in there an bite my nails for a minute to cap out there as well.

My best win on that map was with my T-62 Veteran (tier 3) in a tier 5 game. Our top tier Chieftain donked out very early on and it came down to me & our arty, who thankfully was pretty switched on. I asked him to shield me on the cap, so he drove in front and got nailed. His sacrifice allowed me to cap out using him as cover. 8.6K damage and 11 kills too.

Hopefully the forthcoming patch fixes the sound issue on that map. It makes it much harder when you can't hear any gun sounds.

There's sound issues on quite a few maps. Snake Bite is currently in the rotation tonight and the gun fire sounds pack up religiously at the half way point in that operation.

Had some really good games tonight - good teams in general, just playing my ERC (now at 100%) and my Foxy of course thumbup. I have my BMP1P unlocked and played one game but didn't gel with it. Don't really fancy playing it and I don't particularly like MBT play. Could buy the B1 Centauro I suppose but meh.

I have the Centauro and the Centauro 120 now. The latter just hits harder and is faster. I play it kinda like the tier 9 Waffle in WoT; In that I find I'm sometimes driving it in reverse to make better use of the gun depression that way. Plus with the turret being rear mounted, you're not exposing the hull so much. That's just me though.

Have you got the Begleitpanzer 57 (AKA the Bagelpanzer) yet? I think you'd like that. Very OP if you play to its strengths.

I've just got the Challenger 1 yesterday. Quite bouncy it is and you can really be aggressive with it.
