Okay bought XM800T... fk me it's quick rofl

Btw if I charge to the cap, get blown up, but team still wins/caps does it still count...?
Yes.

I have completed event now. All 3 challenges done and 151 wins in total. Just need to sign in tomorrow for 4th consecutive day to win free Leopard 1 as well then I'm done. smile Not that I'll play either of them as I don't do MBTs.

About 25 games to go. This Leopard tank had better be good...

Just finished. What a pain, and very repetitive after a while.

Done as well, the rush approach was interesting at first esp with the XM800, went back to the BMPs for the last few for variety and to try and get them levelled up. Also had one muppet threaten to report us for having the audacity of capping the mission too fast for him roflloser

Probably take me forever to get the level 6 BMP so the Leopard will suffice for now smile

Congrats guys! beer Back to normal playing now.

Am I the only one in love with the tier 7 Centauro 120 and top ammo? I loved the ERC-90 F4 but this thing is a whole new level of awesome. I'm running with a full load out of M829A3 APFSDS ammo (48 shells) and can hold my own in pretty much any PVE game by driving it backwards everywhere and poking round corners. The only retrofit I'm running on it is augmented optics at the mo. If I do less than 15k damage and 100k coins it's been a bad game. Hitting for 700 damage per shot is a lot of fun!

Still not gelling with the Wiesel though - I really don't see what the fuss is over it. Give me my VBL and Fox any day.

Probably. Haven't played since the end of the event so only got the tier 4 BMP and tier 6 tank I won.

AFAIK the 7 days premium time I won should allow me to level quicker, so I'll need to wait for when I've got a spare few days to get the higher level BMPs before applying it (that is assuming the time isn't applied immediately...?)

The Centauros are pretty good. You can now get a tier 9 token from the tier 7 Centauro 120, but you need to build up 475K for it. I'm about 30K short at the moment.

As for MBTs, I find the American ones to be rather boring. The German Leopards are decent and I love the Russian ones with their high damage hits.

This is the tier 8, T-90:

Those "eyes" are infra-red dazzlers and part of the Shtora (curtain) anti-missile system.

Sorry man had enough tonight. Was super pissed off that the Stingray on the hill behind me had perfect side on shots of the Termi but let me die to him. I've had more losses today and tonight than in the entire history of the game. Hard mode definitely needs SIMM imho. If your rank isn't good enough you should be forced to stay in Easy or Medium mode until you get good enough instead of handicapping your team.

Sick of seeing Albatross too. It's an auto-defeat on this map worse than Kodiak unless EVERYONE is on the ball and works together. Time after time I'm expected to do the secondaries in my AFV without any help and predictably end up dying to MBTs and arty, then the superior MBT drivers have no-one to spot the runway for them and of course they won't risk scratching their 3000 HP tank and do it themselves so they just sit there looking dumb and let the AI cap out. Every... single... game...

The big nerf to the AFV AC and TD reload times plus the removal of the daily bonuses in 0.15 have really made me turn sour against the game. It's getting very much like WOT and becoming unenjoyable BS.

Haven't played really since that last event... Last couple times I played my BMPs got torn to shreds in short order despite trying to keep behind the MBTs. Was fun while it lasted at least.

That's OK. I only had one more game myself. We managed to win that one in the end, although it was tough. The tier 7 Abrams I was playing isn't that great. It's not a good TD map that one either, too many spawns behind or on top of you. I generally avoid it with TDs.

I don't mind the loss of the daily bonuses actually. It's more interesting to have daily missions instead, like World of Warships does.

One thing I really don't like about the patch is the new user interface. You can't see what equipment you have fitted. For some stupid reason they've removed the tick that showed what you have.

The garage UI looks like it's been made in the wrong resolution to me. It looks really stretched like it shouldn't be in wide screen. No idea what they've done to it but it looks crap.

I always go TD on Sapphire actually. I know the spawns well and once that 2nd wave is clear I move from the dirt road hill over to the other side, up the road to where the AI arty is and then come round the back of the buildings and shoot them from the north. There are no fresh spawns there but you get good shots on those spawning in the middle and up on the dirt road on the hill where you were initially. Once those are clear you're pretty much finished, just the last 2 newly spawned arty near the spawn hill to take out if someone on your team hasn't already got them.

For some reason I don't usually come up against a Termi on that dirt road on the hill so it took me by surprise. Even with AP loaded on my Cent you can't go through those frontally unless you're happy to take half damage on their turret. If I can get their side then even with an AP shell it's good for around 750 damage. What annoyed me was the Stingray behind me on the hill had clear shots into his side and ignored it, leaving me with no escape route.

I had a few more games before rage-quitting after yet another fail team on Albatross refused to drive onto the runway to spot the AI because they didn't want to get any scratches on their combined 6000+ HP. Of course despite doing 10+ damage and 9+ spotting in my Wiesel but eventually dying to AI arty's laser it was all my fault and I should "lurn2play". Yep..

I prefer to hang back with TDs and Sapphire is too hilly for that. There's no good shooting position from range.

I just tried it again with the Abrams. 17K damage and 14 kills, but ran out of time. Our Leopard 2AV & Centauro threw themselves away early on and also threw the game with it.

Just done 21.5k in my Cent 120 on it, nearly dying to arty because a Ramka wouldn't take them out. As usual, had to go and do them both myself. Ramka and an M1A1 were both in a platoon and were st-talking all through the game about how superior they were and would "ROFLSTOMP" us all. The Ramka only did 9k but the M1A1 finished doing 200 damage LESS than me as I got the last kill. I couldn't resist a comment of my own at the end "M1A1 instead of screaming about how good you are perhaps you should L2P first?". It was met with a swift "F U". rofl Made me chuckle anyway.

Nice one. There seem to be a lot of cancerous WoT players in AW at the moment. One of the many reasons I don't play that any more.

The game has hemorrhaged players its go so bad that the NA server is virtually dead and the EU server is falling fast. The game offers very little different from WOT other than modern tanks.

I could never play WoT again. It's clear their developers haven't for years either.

I guess the biggest difference between AW and WoT is the RNG. My understanding is that RNG in WoT is +/- 25% which is why you get so many of those complete misses from point blank range or so many "We didn't even scratch him" type messages. I believe in AW the RNG is only +/- 15%. It also seems that if the reticle in AW is green then 95% of the time you will actually penetrate, whereas in WoT a green reticle is no guarantee of anything.

Needless to say it's been a while since I last played WoT, but I'm still actually enjoying AW.

P.S. The PVE Mission option in AW is another plus point.

Anyone still playing this? I had a go over the weekend after it got mentioned on the WoT thread.

Player numbers seem to be improving since some of the above comments, I had a few games where I had to wait a minute or two, but most went in fairly quickly. Seems to be a very blatant ripoff of WoT (the controls seem to be exactly the same), with a few unrealistic features (like knowing when you've been spotted) but I quite like it. Scouting seems to be a lot more worthwhile than in WoT (or I'm just crap at it in WoT), and I rather like the PVE co-operative battles as going up against a large number of really stupid enemy in crap tanks gives you a chance to get the hang of your vehicle before entering a PvP game. Got up to a tier 4 Swingfire, ATGM's are fun, and a tier 3 recce vehicle which plays quite a lot differently.
