Yeah in Project Cars the Track/Tyre temperature can affect the grip levels so i keep a close eye on them just to make sure im not overheating the tyres
Yeah was a good dice we had in race 2! Sorry about hitting you a couple of times.. Overheating tyres are the pain in my backside - had them constantly at Bathurst and car was sliding like a pig, so swap to hard tyres for race 1 last night and it's exactly the same except the tyres had no grip even when they were the right temp!

dont worry about it as i think i tapped you a couple of times in race 1 under braking as i still wasnt used to the SLS's relatively bad brakes compared to other cars

The last two weeks on the trot I've been available for a race and getting warmed up when Mrs E pokes her head in and says "You need to pick Little E up from football". DAMN!

Looking forward to a PH race at some point as really gelling with this game.

Wait, the tyre temp actually has an effect? My tyres were red for a good portion of my races but I didn't notice any real change in grip levels. Maybe I'm not going fast enough to notice!!

Had fun last night with some good battles. The start of race one went horribly wrong for me, my car just died before the lights went green and I couldn't figure out what happened, then I proceeded to spin twice on the first lap in frustration! Enjoyed catching and fighting Hemorrhoid(?) in race one and the nice battle with him and furball in race two. Only finished 8 secs of Furball in race 2 so I'm happy with that!

yup when tyres are red they arent as grippy and if its the rears your far more likely to have spins also ive taken note of 2 people (wont name them) who cut the first turn on hockenheim to gain an advantage, theres no penalty this time but in future there will be so please dont cut corners guys wink

Disappointed by how far off the pace I was in the GT3s

4 secs a lap when making no errors is a lot to find. :/

You guys all using manual gears?

Manual gears - however the BMW doesn't have the legs on the straights so essentially its not a level playing field like you think.....

I would rather penalties switched on via the game to be honest.

Going to do a few laps in a different car tonight to explore how much was down to the RUF and how much was me...

I put in some neat and tidy laps but was still miles of pace.

As an observation you did seem to pull on the straights but corners the RUF from behind looked a little "loose"

Not that I am a driving god mind you - I suspect I had a problem with cutting the first corner as alluded to.

@GEE

i was running manual gears aswell, iirc the RUF is one of the slowest GT3 cars in a straight line but can be pretty good round corners

Yeah, the second race was a bit more fun, you're invisible on my replay though so I can't watch the action back frown

RUF is miles off the pace imo, I don't get along with it at all.

It'll be attending Saturday's race as a casual if there's room for me smile
