CJ can you just confirm the start pls, so it won't be a normal grid start start, we will drive round back to the grid and then start at the begining of lap 2 and the opposite with the end?

thanks Pastor.......I mean Pexy
yes on the first lap its a formation/warmup lap and as we approach the start/finish line i will call the race start, the last lap (lap 20 for tonight) will be a warm down lap so you race up to the end of lap 19 then you stay in your finishing order. This should allow everyone to finish before the timer countdown runs out also should stop your cars from impeding other drivers who are still going as if seen the AI do this in some online races ive had.

@egor

you have been put down for the mustang

@y2

yup theres still some spaces and you have the M3 GT4

@chunky

its a secret wink but dont worry there will never be any thunderstorms

@jgoose

the rolling start is the same as the rolling starts in career mode which can sometimes pick the worst points to do a race start i.e. as your car is taking a tight corner which as you can imagine can cause carnage on certain tracks

Is there any technique to warming the tyres up?

A lap going lock to lock touring car style or a few steady full laps.
well during warmup lap lock to lock is best but got to be careful incase you spin

jon got the last permanent slot for league 1 but was looking at opening a second league which runs on saturdays to see how much of the casual/regular guys would prefer that option. I'll add him tonight just in case theres a spot he can pop in

What are the points scored for position again?

I cant see them on the first post, or am I just blind.
it's, 1st = 16, 2nd = 14, 3rd = 12, 4th = 10, 5th = 8, 6th = 6, 7th = 4, 8th = 2 and this is for each class theres also an extra point for whoever is quickest in quali for each class aswell

@paulm3

will do

@vinnie

yeah you were broadside and what can i say my mclaren likes to launch cars over itself lol

@jon

dont worry about it as its not the norm for champs to manually do a warm up lap but everyone will know for future

@havoc

you are just having no luck today with it lol

here's the results from both races, the other tables will be updated over the course of tonight/tomorrow and there might be some slight changes but going to have a good think over it

Incoming wall of text

As discussed last night due to the amount of signups we will be running another league on saturdays aswell now (League 2), it will run at the same time (8pm BST) and have the exact same setup as the thursday league. At first i will host league 2's lobby until it fills up with drivers then i will leave the hosting to someone who only races on the saturday, all i would need them to do apart from host it of course is to take screenshots of the qualifying/race results screen. This can either be done using the "share" button on the DS4 pad or by taking pictures on your phone, whatever is easiest just so i can make up the tables.

There will be some changes to the setup to make it easier for all especially on the formation lap, the changes are:

  • There will now be a predetermined spot for when the race will start, for example on Brands Hatch GP it will be as soon as you enter the start/finish straight. You CANNOT race before these points so if you see someone ahead start to accelerate away you will have to wait till you reach this point yourself before accelerating off so its in your best interests to keep up with the pack.
  • The leader will be limited up to 100 mph (150 kmh iirc) on both the formation lap and warm down laps.
  • Cars on their warm down lap will stick to the left side of the track to make it simpler for the cars still racing to get through.
  • When passing a back marker the chasing car will pass on the right to save confusion and preferably only on straights to reduce the chance of any contact.
  • As we did last night, on the formation lap for Race 2 the grid will split into GT3/4 packs and you just form up behind the first car you see thats in your class.
  • The flag/penalty system will be getting turned off as its not proving as useful as i originally hoped, for example it only showing a blue flag when the chasing car is already about to overtake also i think someone got hit with a drive through penalty even though they didnt cut the track. This means im trusting everyone not to cut the track or ram other drivers and i will manually hand out penalties for these myself in future.
  • The amount of uses per car will be increased to 3 for the GT3 cars, GT4 will stay the same
  • The casual drivers will have their own league table

That covers pretty much all the changes so if theres any questions feel free to ask smile , Now that theres 2 Leagues and the GT3 car uses has changed aswell im going to need to get everyone to fill out the form below with there preference for race night etc. If you already raced last night you can still switch to saturdays but your points would be reset also egor asked a good question in that if you picked a car and arent getting on with it then you can change it for another car as long as the new car still has uses left. There wont be any limit on this but if you change your car every race (casual guys arent affected by this) then i may ban you from changing it anymore for the rest of the season.

PH NAME:
PSN ID:
Race Night:
Group: (Regular or Casual)
Car: (Please list your top 3 picks)

For example,

Mclaren 12C (GT3)
Ginetta G55 (GT3)
Aston V8 Vantage (GT4)

@Speckle

on race night i would let the casual racers know which class we need drivers in and then you are free to pick whatever car you want in that class

@halo

the best i can do is post up the quali times as the replay system doesnt show any of this information at the moment as far as im aware

All in all it was a good night and over time it should get better smile

Hi all,

Can someone explain to me the rules on choosing your car?

I was in the Mclaren 12C last night but I would prefer the Austen V12 Vantage in future. How many times can you use each car?

Jon
you can use your car as many times as you want, the "uses" refers how many people can use that car so for example the maximum of 3 Aston V12 Vantages on the track at once (casual racers exempt)

Not buggie?
Gt better online?
there are some bugs but compared to GT its a lot better made and connections are reliable so once you have clean racers theres a lot of fun to be had

Cj, I am probably being really thick, do we stay with the same car... I see the uses in the table so does that mean if I swap to another car a use is used but can stay with that car for the season? Or does each race constitute a use?
The "uses" refers to how many people can use that model of car so for example if 2 more people pick that car then no one else could but lets say you decide to change to the Audi R8 that would put 1 more "use" back on the Z4 meaning someone else could use it if they wanted to.

You can race the car as many times as you want each season aswell as change it to another car between race nights if you wanted to aswell, there is some confusion over the term "uses" so was thinking of changing to picks or slots in future.
