Sure someone was after a G29, just seen a bargain price come up on Amazon so thought I'd pass it on. £133 with a discount.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YUOVBZK/?ta...
Apparently a £10 voucher available to make it £133: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/logitech-g29-racin...
Hope that helps someone.

Thanks for that - That was me.

Purchased smile

Although I won't be able to use it for a while, as I am not sure my budget will stretch to a playseat, got a lot of car stuff this month :-)

Excellent, mind with the time you did on current TT not sure you need it smile

Like you too many things to buy and not enough dosh so I've got the wheel attached to a wooden tea tray driving . Mind I nearly knocked myself out first time I used the wheel and steering assist was enabled, bloody thing not being anchored down was like trying to hang on to a cocker spaniel in a biscuit factory.

If the G29 is as good as my G27 was that's a steal at £133.

Hahahha, oops! That's definitely man-solutions smile
I have my old desk that I used to use my G25 on, but it's old and covered in PC bits.
I'll just wait till I get the Playseat I think and I can re-arrange my gaming quarters :-)

Well excited! Free next day delivery also, with Prime lol.

I don't use a playseat, I use a Wheelstand Pro. About £90 it cost me and it's perfect as I play in the living room.

And good choice on the G29. I had a G25 (still have it, but it's on its last legs) since 2007 and it's done me very well.

My only criticisms of my G29 are:

  • Shifter module doesn't have option for Sequential mode (I really liked this on my G25)
  • The brake bias adjuster is really not very good - it takes a number of 'clicks' for it to recognise anything, so it can be very fiddly to make small changes during races
Otherwise, it's very good. I think mine was £180.

I was determined to at least get into the 1:36s - so near yet, so far frown

All gained in the middle sector it seems! A couple of laps later, I was 2/10ths up on this but, as soon as I realised that, I lost my flow and made an absolute mess of the rest of the lap banghead

I was very tempted to ditch the VR headset as I'm confident I would be faster playing 'normally' on the telly but, the VR experience is just too much fun thumbup

Cheers - it was an hour well spent on a Bank Holiday Monday biggrin

Is there another combo for this week? Not that I'll have any opportunity to try it until the weekend but, still...

Had chance for a quick try yesterday, wow it really does transform the game after playing on pad, managed about half an hour and got back to about where my pad times where (from last few combos I've done), so much easier to be smooth.

However I now need a new chair... Chairs with wheels really aren't suited to driving with a wheel lol
