For anyone struggling to find the car it's a free download (or it is on ps4) called free car 5 in the ps store

Project Cars noob here, set a 56.581 before getting fed up!

Using a pad, really can't wait to get my G29 from the Mrs this Xmas!

Nice to see some new players, welcome and enjoy!

A wheel brings the game alive, playing career mode (skip the karts unless you really want to drive them) will take you through lots of different combos...it really is a fantastic game/sim of petrolheads.

Finding this a tough one, keep pushing too hard and scrubbing all the speed off. Although the last few laps I moved to an in car view rather than outside above the car and the times were falling pretty quickly so should be able to improve more.

Too late - I'm in the second season of those super kart things. Hoping that once complete, that will be the end of it?!

The Brands Hatch time trial was a bugger, I couldn't find anywhere else to scrub time. I realised that having the gearbox in automatic and having stability control enabled was slowing me down but even with these turned off I couldn't get into the 55s - let alone the 54s!

Ha, much the same here. I thought I was doing quite well after a few seasons in career mode, gave this a go and I'm quite often 2 seconds at least off the top 4 or 5 on here. A few of these guys are a bit good and I've learnt my place is bottom half of the table. The occasional video they post helps, even though the lines might be the same you see where they can carry more speed. Still its good fun trying to compete

Surprisingly lively on back end this thing.

Played around in the Aston Martin Vantage GT12 last night. What a beast. Shame it's dlc so we can't TT it!

Exactly how I feel! Although using a pad doesn't help much I don't think

We have done a challenge with that, it's a free DLC car that we all got as part of the early 2016 monthly updates.

Keep at it, I picked my racer name when I started racing on PC using a pad 10 years ago, it was an honest assessment of my skills/speed at the time. I'm a bit quicker now, the wheel helps in terms of placing the car and braking and accelerating feels more natural but the key is nailing braking and turning points and carrying the right amount of speed. Racing line in games are rubbish, spot your own points through practice.

I'm no alien but I'm not a slowpoke any more either...don't be disheartened by the quick guys here, there are a lot of practice hours involved to get there.

I can't remember driving it before but I am getting old. Or maybe it was one of the TTs I missed in the summer. Well if anyone wants to pick it again sometime in the future feel free. I think I'd be crap in it but it's great fun.

As I bought the game of the year edition do I have any more DLC left to download - or was it all included on the disc? I can't see that I'm missing any cars but I'd hate to think that I was haha!

Nope that comes with most of it. But you can always check on the PS Store for anything further to download for free.

I still have a physical copy of Project Cars on PS4 if anyone wants it for a quid or whatever to cover postage. So it might tempt a person or two into joining smile

It works fine but it's North American version so none of the downloadable content works unless you faff around with your PS Store settings to make it think you're in America.
Not really an issue for us most of the time.

Just got back from the Overclockers day at Palmersports...

I only bloody won it, fastest lap in the F3000
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B39VgqXlCnI

I'm through to the grand final in July next year, can't wait. Buzzing with the adrenaline, totally chuffed and shocked. If you watch the lap there is clearly time to be found.

Good work thumbup looked a bit damp too, was it?

I think by the sound of it they also gave you a bit of a clunker, the video of Jolyon Palmer's car sounds much healthier. (Racing drivers excuse number 112)
