One of my fave tracks. Still not very good on it though.

Congrats on new wheel Tronneh. Got me wondering about upgrading the G27 now, but not sure if I play enough these days for the investment. I think I may need a new PC first though, as my CPU wast hitting 95 degrees doing the TT last night!

Don't you have the TS500?
I would be interested in hearing your thoughts in the differences on your old Logitech to Thrustmaster
I have recently tried the G29 on my son's PC and PS4 and it just doesn't feel as smooth as the T500, the FFB is just lacking something in comparison. More in detail than strength. Don't get me wrong my old G27 was a great wheel and at £130 the G29 is great value, but they do feel a bit like toys compared to the T500 if I'm honest. I would say I had less glitches with the G27, the T500 seems to dislike getting hot, and if the fan kicks in then the FFB does some weird stuff which becomes distracting. The T500 has been far less consistent in long playing stints than the G27 was. I have a spare fan that I'm going to try and rig up to keep the motor cool to see if that helps, it seems to be a common issue with the T500. If I'd paid new/full price I would be really annoyed about it.

Ok folks. Help time. Haven't been trying to go faster this weekend as I was unhappy with FFB and felt I was fighting the car too much for my liking. I then made the mistake of googling Project Cars FFB settings. I have now lost the will to live, having read and played with every possible setting under the sun and no longer know which way is up, which direction I should sit in the car or how to press the accelerator :-). Is it just me or do you now need a PhD in FFB settings ?

So, can anyone recommend a basic set-up for :

Thrustmaster T300
PS4

I want to be able to feel what the car is doing, feel when I'm touching the apex, loosing traction etc but don't want to build my muscles better than I'd been in the gym :-)

The # of settings is mind boggling and I have no clue what they all do, or how they interact, nor do I really want to !

Let's start with the master settings in options/controls config and calibration. I want to set these and never look at them again....what are you all using? Do we need a separate thread !

Have you tried projectcarsgame forum, some of the peeps in there know their stuff and we're involved in development of the game.

I found the PS4 default FFB too strong on G29, I just reduced it to about 70% overall FFB strength and removed the deadzones. Try resetting to default and just try that if you're really stuck.

I had much the same, hoping for that magic switch that made me instantly better - sadly still waiting.

I'm still a bit off the top boys (G29 so no point sharing settings), but a couple of easy things that helped me out without jumping in to advanced FFB:

Steering sensitivity - I found I was always taking 2 or 3 bites at finding the apex. Normally I'd sort tweak steering ratio in car setup but you can't for TT. So I turned the steering sensitivity down to 50%, it just toned down that initial turn in which suits my style and I feel a bit more confident.

Brake sensitivity - I spotted through the telemetry screen that I was never getting full brake pressure - about 80% at most. Guess when I configured the pedals I really stamped on the middle pedal - when driving I cant apply that pressure all the time. So call me a wimp/cheat but when configuring pedal I just press normally now, which normally equates to about 80% (yeah wimp)

May help

Yeah I've looked through the forums. That's partially the problem ! They tend to have masses of pages with multiple options and I've tweaked so many settings so many times I'm lost ! It seems I've either got no "feel" at all, or I'm fighting the wheel which often causes me to lose control as I'm over correcting when fighting e.g. Under heavy braking with certain cars the wheel is really kicking and bucking and I end up spinning even before turn in, or on the other group challenge with the McLaren, I get little FFB signal that the back end is stepping out other than visual which is too late !

Have finally just reset everything and going to stick with it on standard for now, tweaking the "strength" as needed. The games far too clever for its own good !

PS where's the telemetry screen on PS4 ?

Not at home to check but you can get the live telemtery view (along with various other huds) by pressing either up or left on the dpad (one changes hud and the other changes the lap time board in the top right)

My ffb on PS4 with G29 is basically left as default, I just wound the FFB strength down to about 30-40%
