This car has weird handling...very unpredictable.

Welcome aboard whatleytom. With pads games rely on input filters because of the limited movement of the sticks. There is no need for filtering with a good wheel, and my own experience is that it is far more satisfying than a pad.
I played pad on all versions of PS and on PC until about 4 years ago, when I got my first wheel (DFGT), and within 3 months I upgraded to a G27. I wouldn't go back and really struggle to play with a pad when I can't be bothered to set the wheel up, nowhere near as satisfying. I may be selling a wheel soon, will let you guys know first in case of interest
Short answer, get a wheel, you won't regret it

Same, I only got my wheel in May and for a while I could interchange between wheel and pad, even setting similar times. But after getting more used to the wheel I find it harder and harder to play on pad, to the point that I only play PC on the wheel now. Having said that, before I got the wheel I still actually enjoyed racing with a pad (Assetto Corsa too), but the G27 is so much better in every way. Apart from setting the bloody thing up every time I fancy a race.I played pad on all versions of PS and on PC until about 4 years ago, when I got my first wheel (DFGT), and within 3 months I upgraded to a G27. As for this weeks combo, totally agree on the car. Slippery thing. Quite fun to drive, until you overcook that is.
Did you pick up RF2 when it was on sale? Handling is good but graphics are outdated. There are apparently lots of mods for it, but I haven't looked into that yet. Core game has some good cars but not hundreds, I haven't really looked at the track list so much.
I did a Clio race at Silverstone to compare it to PCars and I think the FFB is great in RF2, I haven't got around to the same race on PCars but I do love the Clio as it's the car I've raced most. Overall I'd say PCars is more immersive, handling there isn't much in it, which surprised me as RF is touted as the benchmark physics game. I'll keep playing and see how it goes, as I've only done on full race weekend.

This thing is a nasty mix of massive under and oversteer!

I think I may be a hoarder...I've just bought a new wheel and my wife asked me if I'm selling the G27. I've had so much fun with it I'm kind of attached, how sad is that.
Bargain of the year I think, I picked up a virtually brand new GT Omega Pro rig (with a spare seat still in the bubble wrap), Thrustmaster T500RS, with T3PA pedals and the TH8PA shifter for £450 on gumtree, 300 mile round trip to pick it up but it's practically brand new, I can't believe it. Sadly I can't use it as I forgot to pick up the power supply (stupid) but the seller is going to post it fingers crossed. Apparently thrustmaster will supply a replacement fairly cheaply anyhoo so no biggy.
Chances are I might sell the G27 shortly...just in case anybody is interested. It's only for PC/PS3 just in case you are wondering.

Quick question.
PS4... on amazon for 28quid.... DL "bundle" for 45. Which to do?

I'd say get the DLC bundle, there are some cracking cars in the DLC. If you are not sure whether you'll enjoy it, then just shell out the £28. In my opinion it's absolutely cracking, but I'm slightly biased as I was part of the WMD experiment. PS4... on amazon for 28quid.... DL "bundle" for 45. Which to do?

New car, new circuit...
Track cut penalties are bizarre to say the least, best to avoid the kerbs
