Perhaps my favourite track after the BMW combo we had on it ages ago. Nice pick Tron

Nearly had the top slot on the game leaderboards but kept pushing too hard and cocking it up. Then I just started getting worse and worse so gave up in the end. Hopefully try again later this week.

Don't give up on the wheel yet Kowalski, it will be worth it in the end, much more fun and rewarding than a gamepad.

My wife is impressed with this combo Tron, my swearbox contributions will pay for christmas for about the next 5 years...

I know i can improve but holding it all together for the whole lap without going into a corner backwards is bloody tricky...

Ye gods this is infuriating! Best so far is a pathetic 1.36.683. I've been 2 seconds up on this on various laps but find a new spectacular way to bin it on a different corner I think I've got nailed lap after lap.

With all the frustration I guess I should have a small disclaimer - assist were used for my time! Within the rules still, I believe

I'm not sure if TC makes for a faster time, just fewer accidents, so more clean laps to go for it on. If I get chance to try again I'm going to see what it's like with all assists off...

Switched on ABS, which I find helps massively because you don't get any braking feedback so no idea about lockups.

The rules are have a go and have fun AFAIK Derwin

I had a go messing with the assists and i could not get close to my time.
Stability control just made me understeer through corners
Traction control made me lose drive, for example the I would gain a lot of time over Derwin comming out of mansfield without TC but with TC it jsut didnt drive forward as hard and i couldnt steer with the throttle.
ABS, only just realised i had this turned on! and yes its essential i think as per B2BS pedal feel comment.

Well I tried with assists off. Christ it's hard. I managed around 1:32 so totally opposite experience to you Tron. You must have infinite patience...

This car is a beast - I'm OK on FA, GT3 etc with no assists but the R500 is evil!

@B2BS - great racing with you last night. I'll try to be more competition next time though. Think I got a bit big for my boots setting up Sonoma with Cossie and M3. How I followed you around the wrong route on the second race though I don't know. It was me who changed the bloody track

I enjoyed it too Derwin's, I'm pretty quick to get up to speed even if not the quickest overall. I've been playing PCars since April 2012 so I know most of the tracks, maybe we can take a gentle cruise along California Highway or Azure Coast sometime for a change

Got it down to a 1.34.180, I could possibly get into a 1.32 at best if I played all night but dinner is calling!

OK so i had another go after a couple of bottles of Hobgoblin and for got i turned all the aids on...
Surprisingly I improved by nearly a second!
Then i turned it all off again and couldn't drive it!

Edit: Actually after a few more goes i have managed to put in a high 28 without aids, except ABS.
I think the biggest place i picked up speed was the mountain section as i braked a little earlier and held second rather than dropping to first, which allowed me to carry much more speed around that section.
