1:28.863 in the 98T, first time on this track (assuming the GP?) for me and I like it! Not so keen on the car.

The way this thing snaps on boost, anyone using pad will need tc or sc or both. It's just vicious.

First go.

Same .669 weird

Although I think you've made yourself a second slower wink - http://cars-stats-steam.wmdportal.com/index.php/le...

It says custom, but all I changed was the traction control setting from 11 to 13 so it is not so strict, so going further to off without it being off for now, I will turn it off if I have another go.

Ps. I used that traction control setting to set the fastest times at Cadwell Woodland with the L98T, which was a very mad lap either way. smile

OK so i had another go after a couple of bottles of Hobgoblin and for got i turned all the aids on...
Surprisingly I improved by nearly a second!
Then i turned it all off again and couldn't drive it!

Edit: Actually after a few more goes i have managed to put in a high 28 without aids, except ABS.
I think the biggest place i picked up speed was the mountain section as i braked a little earlier and held second rather than dropping to first, which allowed me to carry much more speed around that section.

I might have mentioned at the time it would be a beast of a combo. I highly recommend a swear box, mine has been upgraded to the box my lawnmower came in after these last 2 combos. On the plus side, there is a big slush fund to play with when I break it out. smile

Hold the throttle steady or just blip it to throttle steer, only go full throttle in a straight line and even then hang on for dear life.

Great fun to drive thought isn't it. One false move and it's all over, very hard to be smooth with a pad. I'd love to try a wheel but can't really justify the cost.

What platform are you on braketester?. Anybody on XBone or PS4 grab a bargain g920/g29 from Currys £180. Similar mechanically to my g27 and I've used that for 5 years now, worth every penny if you enjoy your racing games smile

I don't justify my spending, I do it and then ride out the frown from er indoors lol. Only if we can afford it obviously.

definitely going to get back in to this, new system is up and running and CSW V2 Wheelbase with the RSR rim and Clubsport shifter has arrived, absolutely love it although the rim is massive compared to the G25 and tricky with a over the place nature of the Lotus. Have the Pedals and carbon formula rim hopefully arriving later this week.

Very much looking forward to the next car pack on the 22nd December as wel - http://www.virtualr.net/project-cars-new-renault-p...

I've had enough frowns getting my real car to drive well never mind a virtual one :-)

Braketester - If you can, get a wheel, it won't necessarily make you faster (See my times!), but it makes the game so much more immersive.

I've decided virtual racing gives me the buzz without the fear of death or injury, bent metal and huge bills. It's a hobby now for me. Maybe when the kids have left home I might get another track toy, but slipping into the man cave for a quick race is so much easier than loading up a trailer, slogging down a motorway for hours etc. etc.
