Project Cars Weekly TIme Trail

This looks absolutely great, and compared to Forza the cars sound awesome. Played it once about a year ago and found it to be very buggy, are the worst things adressed in the game as of yet? Thinking about getting this for the XB1, any tips on what version to get?
XB1 had issues with controller early on, but I think they are all resolved now. No getting away from the fact it's far better with a wheel though. GOTY gives you all the DLC for less than the sum of it's parts. I'm all PC now, I've given up on console gaming, so obviously i would recommend that over either console version (there would be no point as I don't own either one anyway).born2bslow said:

So GOTY is the one to go for it seems. I have a Thrustmaster TX wheel which also works on the PC, but I will play on my XB1 in this case. Thanks for the help
I've been trying a new method on the hairpin and wonder if anyone else wants to try it too.
Basically outbrake yourself, go down into first, handbrake and full power - Basically Ken Block styley.
I found this out by getting my nearside rear onto the grass, under braking which span me, but I planted it and ended up 0.1-0.2 seconds up on my ghost by the braking zone for the chicane.

Had a bit of an epiphany (after blowing the engine ) something which I wasn't aware of on time trial - it seems that if you have a saved setup for the same car in your garage then it is applied to Time Trial also. Apologies if old news I wasn't aware.
I had an old saved setup for the Evo from before I got my wheel and was playing with the pad. Been having all sorts of problems such as getting enough turn for the hairpin or braking in anything other than a straight line leading to the car wanting to swap ends. So reset car setup for the settings which suit me with the wheel and times coming down in chunks now - still a second or so off the best, but at least I'm getting respectable low 1:32's.
May also explain why some people are seeing different car behaviour at places.

Wait. Wait. Wait.
You can do this? I am still on the default setup!
Seems so, found totally by accident while trying to search what my problem was (besides a lack of talent). But yes means there is a way to edit the default setup and use in TT. You never know if you've used the same car before you may be using a saved setup without ever realising like me. Evo was one of the first cars I came across in career mode. So thinking I was using default I wasn't.You can do this? I am still on the default setup!
So assume in the spirit of things we should all be default, but without knowing you may be using a better setup or like me a far worse one.

All I have ever changed is tyre pressures so I might be getting an advantage there...I will check what a reset does tonight (although it's a bit warm to be sitting in a faux leather racing seat)
Ooooo cheeky. I would imagine quite a bit. The hot tyre pressures are nearly 3 bar! Lost of wasted grip :-)

I don't think that has been on any of the time trial cars we have used as it says d for default alongside all the times I've seen of yours on the online leaderboards.D - default - http://cars-stats-steam.wmdportal.com/index.php/le...
Top 2 defaults are you and Tron

I think if you have changed the setup for campaign or single races it's a setup specific to that car at that circuit. Unfortunately it's all saved in one file so you can't share or delete setups.
On the PS4 you have the option of saving a setup for All Tracks (which I'd done back in career mode) or specific circuits. Also unlike the PC don't believe the PS4 shows it a default setup was used.FourWheelDrift said:

That Steam leaderboard is good, can see all the gameplay settings that was used. B2BS in bronze overall but top default setup, top work.Anyway least I now know what I'd done and got back to default, now I can get round the hairpin without resorting to a three point turn or some kamikaze McRae type manoeuvre (hence the blown engine)
