A quick question for anyone else on ps4 is there any way of filtering the global leaderboards so it just shows the car you are in rather than jumbling every car from that class on to the list, which in this case is a lot of cars. Always curious to see how our times compare to the main list, fastest I can see at the moment for this combo is a 1.27:387 although I guess that could well be on a modified setup
On the screen where you select class of car and track in time trial press R1 to tab over to the right hand window.. then press R3, you can filter all, friends only, and also go to "your time" in the leader board.

Ive just checked my time on the leaderboard and it's showing as custom setup. I went into free practice and reset it before I started as I thought I'd raced this combo in career, is there another way? You can't do it in TT.

Thanks guys,

No chance of even getting close at the moment. I'm at least 1 second off each sector time to get into the 1.30s

Just got back from my VXR experience day at Oulton Park, having previously done Thruxton wow what a difference and what a circuit. Loved it, brilliant to rag someone else's car until the brake discs are smoking smile

I'm gonna punch someone soon. 1:29.526 -> 1:28.927

All of my time savings are in the 2nd sector.
This would be a millon times easier with a wheel. There's just not enough granularity with hand controls.

Forgot to mention one of the instructors noticed my PCars polo shirt (I know it's geeky), said he was well into sim racing, as were most of the drivers to some extent. Cheap way to learn tracks etc. It was easy to get right on it knowing which way the track was going tbh, every session was full speed no tip-toeing round to learn the layout. Brilliant stuff.

Glad you had a good time dude. I had the same experience at Thruxton. I knew the track from Toca Touring cars back when I was a wee boy! laugh

What was your favourite? The Astra VXR really impressed me the last couple of years.

I like the Astra for its speed and the diff is very forgiving, but the Corsa is just so much fun on track. So lively, you can just dance it around the track. At Oulton they were quite evenly matched.

I've done Thruxton the last 2 years so I wanted a change, and Oulton is only an hour from me as well. Utterly brilliant time for £35

That's odd, I found the Corsa horrible. It rolled out around like crazy (at least the one I drove did).

I've only done Thruxton so I may try changing to Oulton next year if I get on the mailing list.. ;-(

They all roll around a bit when you're pushing hard, but they are road cars. I arrange to WFH when the tickets go on sale, this year the whole thing sold out in 20 minutes :0

Having done both tracks, I enjoyed Oulton more (3rd & 4th Gears), but you can't ignore the speed of Thruxton (Up to 6th Gear), Church is an absolute scream if you get the car dancing around through there. I didn't bother with the Insignia at Oulton but it was frighteningly quick at Thruxton.

Missed this. I believe you need to go to the garage, reset the config, save it so it applies to all tracks.

It will be back to default but it will still show as custom on the online PC leaderboard because a setup was saved, as soon as any change is made its saved as custom even of you put it back to default. Stupid way of handling setups.

That's dumb!

I did another high 1:28.9xx today, I took a video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSgFlS5_7KY

Can someone please provide me some feedback where I can save time because I think I've hit my limit.

Couple of things that might help, move your seat forward you are too far back in the car limiting your view. If you switch off drivers hands and wheel they can be a distraction although being on pad it might be helpful.

Driving wise, shift down to first just as you get to the apex on the hairpins. Overall I'd say try to brake a little less and carry more speed. To nail it you need to be just keeping on track at corner exit, you seem to leave a bit of a margin for error. Be brave smile

You can do that on PC, up down forward back, can't you adjust it on PS4?

Yeah you can adjust the seat on consoles also, as long as you've configured the buttons
