I'm sad to drop basically a second and not jump over someone on the board, lol.

I did a video anyway -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7yL095XVxA - Apologies for the 20 or so second pause mid way through.

Any advice / improvement from the above would be great.

I watched yours and GE's lap back to back.

Your lines are pretty much identical.
Main difference I can see if you just understeer wide everywhere.
I had that when I was using the pad - switched to a G29 and it was like night and day.

I'll do a recorded lap for you GE, but after watching your video and I'm doing similar lines. I simply can't see how you are 3 seconds up on me.

An embarrassment from me to be honest.
I thought the same after watching his vid even similar gear change points
i wish i had posted my times on monday when I had a go but then not had a chance the rest of the week

It's pretty hard isn't it! Any time is better than no time though :-)

I post up even if it's terrible hahaha.

Cheers. Yeah it's a bit crap with a pad, it's a fine line between a driveable setup and one which will turn appropriately.
I hope to get a G29 next month along with a Playseat.

You're losing a lot of time with understeer. Difficult to feel on the pad. Are you on auto by chance? The shift points look a little off and going to first gear for the hairpin isn't such a good idea as that'll lower min corner speed.

I'm manual, I shift early because torque (looking on the telemetry the power fades out above 4800)and first gear on the chicane means I can generally get on the power better rather than spinning it which is what seems to happen in second frown

I will try again with 2nd on that hairpin but extra careful on the throttle.

Only aids I use are ABS everything else is off.

I don't think I could get much quicker on a pad on this combo, some combos it doesn't seem to much difference.

I'm going to wash the car before I punch someone or something.

Thanks GE, 2nd is better in the Chicane but I only get it 1 out of 4 times. I find I generally run wide and spin on the outer curb.

Take it you mean hairpin wink

Here's where I brake for the hairpin:

That small dark patch on the track. As soon as your front-end hits it, slam them on. Then I keep a tight line, trying to straighten up the exit as soon as possible to get on the power. 60% of the time, it works every time.

Yup sorry!! Dyslexia sometimes gets the better of me and my fingers can't keep up with my brain!

Not sure I can bare to disappoint myself again tonight... may try. That braking point is good to know, I do struggle with the entry to it. Usually I run ride on the turn in, or apex to early.

I'm at 1:58, I love the car but I can't gel with the circuit.

Do we do time trials with the FREE DLC cars? I know we don't do the paid DLC as not everyone has it...but the free cars?

The free cars are:

Aston Martin Vantage GT12
Audi A1 Quattro
2013 Ford Falcon FG V8 Supercar
1970 Lotus Type 49C Cosworth
Mercedes-Benz 300SL (W194)
Mercedes AMG GT3
Radical RXC Turbo
Ruf RT 12R
Scion FR-S
W Motors Lykan HyperSport

The ones I bolded are some of the best cars in the game.

Just thinking of my next time trial smile

Didn't say it's what I was fastest with, just what I find most fun. The V8 Supercar is a blast.

I love the combo but I'm not getting near my PC until Saturday and that might be tricky...sad to miss a cracker like this.
