I'm disappointed I won't be able to use my G29 till next month I think as I can't quite stretch to a Playseat and no way of mounting my wheel in the short term :-(

Another recommendation for the wheel stand pro here. I've been using one for years. Folds up quickly and easily to be moved out of the way. A playseat on the other hand, is a part of the furniture....literally!

Or you could do what I did for a little while and use a ironing board,
I also would like a play seat but for the moment I just use a table and the pedals bolted to it

I tried the community event which was Formula A at Monza (got into top30 woohoo), then came back to this and it seemed easier, although I've only found 4 tenths. My problem is slow speed oversteer in the chicanes...it's like someone throws bananas on the floor in front of me I'm never going to find 1.2 seconds to catch Tron & GE on this.

I have the same issue with oversteer. It makes it very hard to judge. The main problem for me is the first chicane, it normally does a prompt about-turn at the first apex coming off the brakes...

Actually, this was just one of half a dozen sighter laps this morning to see if I could capture the VR footage and upload it! Mission accomplished but, I need to tweak the quality settings I think. I also don't think this was even the fastest lap, I can't always tell in VR if I've done a quick lap or not! It is much more of a faff than the PS4 to edit the clip and find the footage you want too.

Footage looks more static than I was expecting, I guess I didn't look around all that much
The clip also doesn't do justice to the overall sense of feeling like you're in the car - I guess you can only get that from first hand experience...

Will try to get some more laps in over the weekend.

Back to pcars after summer break. Had issues with the 1080 overheating and throttling back. Running 4 screens with 3 screens for pcars at highest settings. Ended up watercooling. Not made my driving any better though. 4 weeks away and it takes a while to get back into it.

Edited to update time and video - messed up the first sector by getting bogged down after the first schicane but, nailed sectors 2 & 3. I think that is me done on this combo now, just can't seem to hit that perfect lap today.
