It's worth a go, only about an hour away from me
Edit: Booked in for the qualifier at 2pm on Saturday, works out nicely as I have to drop my son off at a friends house in Wolves at 12:30 Will let you know how I get on.
Edit2: I wonder if the missus will notice about £700 disappearing from our account on saturday while I'm there

Nice one, best of luck (and careful with your wallet). Wouldn't surprise me if you're in with a chance to qualify as it doesn't take so long to get used to the Vive. Let us know how you get on and what you think of the Vive...Edit: Booked in for the qualifier at 2pm on Saturday, works out nicely as I have to drop my son off at a friends house in Wolves at 12:30 Will let you know how I get on.

FYI for video replays on NVidia card PCs, Nvidia have updated the Geforce experience shadowplay to the overlay version of the Beta that worked briefly for me but then crashed. The old shadowplay always played back at twice speed and no sound for me. It seems ok now but I have only tested it in Skyrim.
ALT Z brings up the Shadowplay overlay in game, instead of setting it all before.
If you hadn't noticed or updated it yet.

Just upgraded Geforce Experience and now it wants me to log in with an account? grrrr no I don't want to give them my fecking info or facebook account
I created an Nvidia account with my generic gmail and you don't have to be honest with your info I think it forces the update anyway, I tried to open Geforce experience and it went to the update screen and I couldn't get out of it without updating.
Best I could manage around Donington in the Ginetta was a 1min 11 flat on PS4,using a G29. Maybe had a half second to find max.
I'd be interested in joining a league to race with you guys, almost all my online races end up with idiots slamming into me at the start. My gametag is Ca7erhamAdy

So I did the overclockers VR qualifier today, and I surprised myself by taking an early lead
I got there and the guy said 1:45 is a good time, the best staffer time was around 1:44...So it's 10 laps first 5 count as practice and they record the final 5, they data log your laps and splits too.
I was a bit worried when my first lap was a 1:52, but I quickly got into the zone in a fairly unfamiliar car, but on a familiar circuit. I managed a 1:37. I was 0.5secs up on my 9th lap and tried to carry too much speed into the last corner, wrecking that lap and the start of the next.
I'm not telling you the combo, because it would give anyone who reads this a heads up and time to practice. I'm sure it will get out anyway, but that Palmer day is £1000 if it's the all dayer I'm thinking of. Wouldn't mind that .
As far as the Vive goes, yes it's awesome and felt so cool, but the resolution was a big disappointment and my eyes felt tired after just the 10 laps. I might have mentioned before that my eyes are already crap, so this was a big concern for me. Long story short, until it's at least 4K resolution I'm going to stick with my triples. It was very immersive I actually thought the in game arms were my own lol.
