ETA - Looking at the leader board above, interestingly 3 of the top 5 times all use the racing line aswell

Yep amazing how much time we're down. Managed to find a chunk of time now for a 1:21 but still 3 seconds off top. I mean nearly 1 second down in sector 1 alone, its only got one twisty bit ffs. When I watch peoples laps on here I'm pretty sure my problem is confidence carrying speed into an apex, I lose so many laps taking too much kerb so I tend to take it easier on entry to make sure I can keep my lap time. That's my theory anyway. Although this circuit does seem to have some more relaxed track limits, those green cones on inside of turns don't last long now

3 seconds off these guys is pretty good I think, I'd be happy with that. In fact I'm happy with 5 seconds off
Has anyone had a go at the sakito challenge? It's quite a good one for a change

for PC users, why does online appear so empty? Is it that it's not particularly popular? Or have serious races moved to private/closed servers? I keep putting off going back to LFS as I'm afraid the graphics will disappoint !

I loved LFS, played it for about 6 years before PCars came along, I even bought the S3 licence even though I wasn't playing it much by then. I realised the thing I enjoyed most was practicing and racing against a bunch of guys I knew and trusted not to ram me...races were usually on secure servers. Pick up racing on public servers on every racing game ever never lasts, too many cretins who get their jollies ruining other people's races.

It's probably not helped that there are so many glitches/features of the game that make online racing hard work.

CTRA on LFS was great. I was one of the top ranked on the XF GTI.

Also did a few 4 hour endurance races were great.

Yeah many a great time on LFS here too, used to race with B2BS a lot in our little group and very rarely anywhere else, as he posted you always knew you where in for a fair race and usually some very close ones at that. I think at it's peak we where online at some point most nights of the week. As old and dated as LFS feels nowadays I am yet to find another sim that comes close to the online setup there, so simple yet so effective.

PS we still going to have a go at getting some races in tonight, I should be on in about half an hour all being well.

If you just launch pcars and try go online it will take you to the ps setup page. You should have a free trial if you've not used it before.

Just setup a lobby with this week's combo and 45 min qualify if anyone is around

I will kick my son off in a minute and join in, all this talk of LFS made me go back and have a go.

All the LFS talk. I Went back to the WCL server where I completed over 7000laps (7520 laps) on BL2/XFG...I'm still an admin lol good times, seriously good times

How good was LFSWorld.net, seriously, PCars needs something like that.
