Heres mine https://youtu.be/0fIteqR6R1Q look at how long my gears are. Can't remember the exact time but it was 1.28 something.
Mines the same as this, hard working out which gear on some bends as you could easily drop back into 1st as the gears are so long.russy01 said:

This is very strange. Could someone check their ratios in the setup page and post the figures here, I'm quite sure I haven't altered the setup on this car at all because I've hardly used it. I've been into the settings and set to default but nothing changed. russy01 said:

I am pretty sure we agreed no custom setups. A time trial should be everyone trying to get exactly the same machinery, with exactly the same setup, round exactly the same track. A custom setup time trial should be a separate thing for those unlike myself who are interested in fettling. The only thing that should be different is the driver.
Anyway, had a proper go this morning:-

Hmm, Thats the first time I've driven this car / track combo, can't see how I've changed it.

Ratios are Final Drive 4.15
1st 2.33
2nd 1.68
3rd 1.35

Fair enough, you just must be quicker than us and getting up a gear earlier...
Just compared Sector Times to see where I am against these mid 1:29 times (My best is 1:30.7) and Im 2 tenths faster in S1, 1 tenth down in S3 but over 1 second slower in S2...
Get and nail S2 and we'll have some close times...

Also, did we ever establish a rule for assists? Should they be on or off?I am pretty sure we agreed no custom setups. New time for me last night, found two seconds with the wheel instead of pad. Last twisty bit is slowing me down though...

I think assists should allowed if you want to use them. The faster times are invariably set without any assists so, one could argue they are a disadvantage (which everyone is free to use)russy01 said:
What assists are Pearcy & IanP using? At the moment I have everything on and still have plenty of time to gain...I dont see how turning them all off is going to make a huge amount of difference.
I'm just using ABS, I'll give it another go later without to see what difference it makes on this track (It definitely helped at Laguna Seca)Pearcyy said:
I was just looking where you were going into 5th ian, i'm nowhere near didn't even get into 5th on the lap i posted, so either your out or i am will check when i get back but i know mine haven't been touched so it is strange. Not having a pop was just curious.
I don't think I'm using all the available revs along the long straight. Not sure how much earlier I'm shifting than you and whether that makes much difference.IanParker said:

Should've done a cool down lap as I missed a few apexs I think because of an overheated front left. Also the final sector was poor. More time to come.

Just had another go, looks like I was definitely shifting too early !
1:29.033 with a few mistakes.
Turned ABS off so relearning the braking points.

Ian I was doing the same as you I think, seeing the red change up dot on the bottom right of the screen (next to the gear number) and changing up when I saw that out the corner of my eye, it's out of sync with the red light on the dash which comes on later.
