Slight improvement in time but no change on the board.

So much for the Ginetta challenge. Tried Friday night and was in 49th place last time I looked, at least 2 secs of the pace. Did anybody else have a go?

Struggling with not being allowed to use ABS on the Ginetta challenge, I'm just locking brakes everywhere. I'm in the 1:54's I think. Unlikely to get back on for another go.

Part of the reason for going for it on the overclockers comp is to get in before the serious Sim racers get in there. I won't get a look in then. I went on Saturday for a second attempt and was really disappointed. I'd practiced loads and my best time on my triples was a 1:35.8xx , but in Vive VR it just felt so different, I couldn't spot my braking points. I also use Jack Spade's FFB settings at home, and I think they run default because I got very little feedback and the wheel (same T500) felt much lighter. Anyway, excuses aside, I only improved on my initial attempt by a couple of tenths to 1:37.5xx. I was gutted to say the least, really disappointed with myself especially since on my first attempt I was half a second up on lap9/10 but binned it into the last corner trashing that lap and the final one.

It's still possible I will make it through but I know I can do better.

I've given the Ginetta challenge a go, managed a 1:53.1.
Might be able to get a high 1:52 but I'm not going to spend the hours necessary to get a time that's way off top 15 pace.

In the end I got down to a low 1.06 but I literally can't seem to go any faster.

That was my problem, i'd done quite a few laps with aids earlier in the week for practice, then when I come to the challenge they are all off by default so I kept locking up, especially on the fast left slow right towards the end (just after the bridge). Really frustrating as I had to be much more gentle than how I'd learned to take it. My fault for using aids before I guess!

Same here, gave up after first try. I wasn't going to climb 35+ places!

As usual a few tenths could be knocked off s1 and s2 but never seem to get a perfect lap!

So tempted to get Vive or Rift now even though I said I would wait for next gen...my wife would be furious if I did. Plan is to get a new PC in next year's Black Friday specials along with a VR headset, must hold out.

I've got all the bits for my vibration/transducer setup, just need to get simvibe @20% off tomorrow then get some plates to fix them to the underside of my seat...exciting stuff, I hope it's as good as people say it is. I'm going full chassis mode with 4 transducers and 2 amps.

Have you seen the Vive prices today? £659 at Curry's and HTC. Sorry
