It was damp in the morning, we did this last session around 3:30pm it's probably the sun reflecting off the tarmac although it was really cold and tyres took time to come up temp. There is one really fast section where you brake hard into a left right, and on one lap someone had spun and was sitting on the apex pointing back at me, I didn't see him until I'd come off the brakes and started to turn in because the sun was right behind him, scary moment at about 60 mph...

I think by the sound of it they also gave you a bit of a clunker, the video of Jolyon Palmer's car sounds much healthier. (Racing drivers excuse number 112)

Either I'm going mad or the time trial aspect of PC is completely flawed (for the ps4)

I can't find anywhere the lap I've just done in the time trial. I've had to use the share function to go back and review the video to get the time. I've done a lap in the v8 atom so that's the only lap time showing!

I just get my time off the board in the session

On ps4 you can also scroll across to your times and find yourself.

If I find myself I just get my Atom V8 time. Is there a way of seeing the other cars?

Come on now, it was rubbish...I was shifting way too early (see no shift lights half the time), missing apexes and bogging down out of corners. I could have done so much better, there was a guest there who was 2.5 seconds qucker on the day, although he didn't have the low sun to contend with.

Forgot to mention there was a Pistonheads staffer called Ben Lowdon who was there as an OCUK guest, I mentioned this thread to him so he may turn up at some point I beat him in the Caterham Head to Head auto test lol.

Managed a 54.212 yesterday but it turns out I still had a custom set-up on it from the last time i used it, so I've had to try and match it on a default set up and what a pain in the arse that was!!!!

I refuse to have another go with my pad! 30 laps was boring enough, I'll wait til the next one. Would be interesting to return to this same TT after Father Christmas has visited with my G29 though, to see if there is an immediate improvement.

I found I was slower for a good hour or two while I dialled in. I don't think my outright speed has improved as I had a fairly good pad settings but I can get a proper string of consistent times together now rather than 1 good lap and 1828438743 bodged ones.

I put another hour and a half or so on yesterday. Could not improve for love nor money.

I improved my individual sector times but only by about 0.1-0.15s per sector. So my best would have been a 54.7ish.

Oh well

Good fun combo anyway, quite like the car.

I practiced the track quite abit on Assetto Corsa a few years ago instead of doing a test day before racing there..... http://youtu.be/Jg8pPrEXMIg

I'm still a second off the overall!
Their is a lot of different lines to use even though its a small track and the FR-S is fun to drive but a little under powered for bigger tracks so this suits it well. Glad yous enjoyed the combo.

I think the whole "week" thing is only a guideline, we generally have a pretty good system of changing.

If no-one else picks a new combo, I will pick one tomorrow.
