Ian I was doing the same as you I think, seeing the red change up dot on the bottom right of the screen (next to the gear number) and changing up when I saw that out the corner of my eye, it's out of sync with the red light on the dash which comes on later.
Yes, I think that's what I was doing but then started shifting on sound which was a bit before the dot on the screen, this time I've waited till I hit the rev limiter!

Love this, used Derwin's ghost to get to this point, losing time over jump but I can hopefully squeeze more time smile great combo.

Hope it helped smile Think I'm a bit untidy but have kind of clicked on this combo for once. Really enjoying it.

Thanks for updating my time too!

You're one of the lucky ones, some of us had our times ignored altogether. frown

Do people play with any assists on (wheel users)? I've been playing with it all off. Just wondered if this was why I am struggling to beat some people, or even get close. I used a light ABS on GT6.

I never have anything on, it's slower that way always has been.

Although getting the right steering wheel setup (controller settings) is very important.

You need to have it setup (if PC, not sure how it works on others) with the full 900 degrees. The game then calibrates it (have you run the calibration in game as well?) and sets limits based on the car eg. so that you don't have 900 degrees on a car that only has 180.

The long right hander turn 2 is very important to get right the final blind turn in apex to be on the power early without running wide onto the grass is vital for speed down the long straight. 2 wheels over the kerbs at 3, 4 and the gooseneck (the right/left) and keeping it smooth through and over the mountain. I manage to take the final twisties without taking out the bollards (so I probably have time to make up there) but don't go too fast into the first right, you need to be tight on the left so that you can be a straight as possible to the next right and the final tight right. You can go wide on the exit before the final corner, where if you brake get it right into the kerb and flat on the throttle almost immediately out.

If you are having oversteer moment use 3rd instead of 2nd through turns 2, 4, 5&6 this sometimes helps instead of revving the nuts of it in 2nd.

I usually have no assists. I used ABS for Laguna Seca and forgot to turn it off afterwards, I'm definitely faster without (Except at Laguna Seca where I was rubbish without ABS)

Had a quick blast tonight, found a fair bit of time in the last sector

I play with all assists off but, I'm not all that quick (perhaps that is the reason!)

I try not to use any ghosts either, other than my own of course. I prefer to figure out the fastest way round the track by trial and error. I realise this puts me at a big disadvantage but, I enjoy it more biggrin

I'm seriously going to struggle to find time for another go this week but, will try to get another session in on Saturday.

Love the car, don't like the track. I can't seem to get anywhere near your times. (though it may have something to do with having all the assists on whilst I learn the track)

I can't get anywhere near those times either - 1:37 is my best so far. How much practice is everyone outing in to get these times? I don't usually get more than 15 minutes without getting interrupted and having to go and do something else.

Just lost a few more tenths and pipped Speckle and one behind russy on the PS4 leaderboard. By heck it is frustrating I can be 1/2sec up in sector 1 and then lose it all and more in sector 2 and 3 I am ok with just that damn middle sector.

I have probably sunk 2hrs into it. Won't get anymore time, so my times done for now. Been enjoying Cadwell although it's a bit tight for my liking...

Haven't seen the other trials you have done so far, but I would appreciate it if you could keep the lap times down. I often only get 30mins here or there to play and would rather be able to get 30 laps in, instead of 10-15 laps of some long track that you inevitably cock up on the first bend!!

Brands Indy is my vote! Love that track!

I've had two sessions of about 45 minutes each on this trial. I did maybe twice that for the r8 at laguna seca one.

Escort mk1 at brands indy is good fun.

Bit of a strange one for me but i can't see where ian is gaining the time on me really must just have more mid corner speed as im pretty limited with my wheel lock. Feel like i'm putting good laps in but the times just aren't there. Will have another pop tomorrow but i'm nowhere near so far.

Been at this all day now. Can still shave off about a second but can't seem to stick an entire lap together to save my life. How the hell do you do it!?

I've not seen your lap so I'm just assuming that this track probably suits a wheel rather than a control pad, although I have seen your time on the leaderboard and you're not that far off smile
