Thats enough for tonight, knackering track!
So many corners that unless you apex perfectly, you lose so much time!
Admission: I had to change the steering ratio, no way i could compete with the standard bus ratio.

Another 20 laps and I can't go faster. Oh well :-)

That's it for me or I'm going to actually destroy my TV / PS4 / Wheel.
Finally figured out how to record triple monitors (MSI Afterburner)
Low res and the FPS hit makes it tricky to put in a good lap but this one is only 0.5sec off my pb (all lost in the last sector)
https://youtu.be/GiX9RnploH4
Pearcy you can see why i asked about SC, your lap looks so much tidier and the way it steps out going over the hump is tricky to hold on to, 7 out of 10 laps end in the barriers there. So much bloody good fun going sideways though, I'm not switching SC or TC on.

Can't see the video, i did/have turned SC off, much quicker in the first two with it off and could go over the mountain the same really just a few more offs at the windy bit so ended up flicking it on for the last sector and ended up doing a 1.27.422.
Will upload the vid tomorrow, best first and last sector i've had, 2 tenths down on the second though but will never get a perfect lap!
Edit: seen the video, don't think your quite hitting it properly definately shouldn't touch the kurb with SC off.

I thought I would document and provide some feedback on my upgrade from the G27 to the Fanatec CSL setup, in case anyone else is having the same thoughts
So firstly we all know the G27 is a fantasic bit of kit for the price. I have been using logitech for years ever since the release of the G25 and have been very happy with it, but I have now been tempted by the shiny Fanatec kit.
I also compared the Thrustmaster offerings but what I really wanted was more pedal feel and the Fanatec pedals do seem to get rave reviews. Initially I was going to go for the ClubSport V3 pedals, however I was tempted by the BMW GT2 wheel and again the CSL pedals again received great reviews for feel so opted for those to keep the cost down a little.
The setup was:
Ordered from the Fanatec site late friday night (I had not been drinking, honest) and the kit arrived the following thursday morning.
All arrived in 4 boxes as the pedals and brake load cell were seperate, all well packaged with basic instructions for building the pedals with links to the driver and support website.
The wheel base however had something loose in it, so I took the top of the case off to find out what it was. It turned out it was a zip tie that had either snapped or been dropped in the case at construction. However I noted that the fan cables had been badly crimped between the case top and the bottom mating faces, which was quite ironic given the warns given for crimping the cables when building the pedals! However the fan still functioned fine...
Other than that all the gear seems really well made and very robust. The wheel is particularly impressive and a thing of beauty!
First of all I tried the wheel with the provided desk clamp with Asseto Corsa and it was a huge difference.
The wheel is a good 50mm or so larger than the G27 and is quite hard to initially get used too but once a few laps are under the belt it really started to shine.
Firstly the action of the wheel is sooooooo smooth compared to the G27, the only analogy I can think of is to insert your penis into a corse cheese grater (G27) or a tepid Panacotta (Fanatec). It is just lovely.
The feedback is highly configurable but I just left everything at default for now. However, given the game is sending the same FFB instructions as the G27, the difference in feel and feedback is utterly remarkable. For instance weight transfer in corners is now very much part of my thought process as you can feel the car load up, which you could with the G27 but the way it is applied through the Fanatec setup is just another level with the feel it provides.
It's also worth mentioning that the wheel also has a rumble pack in it which helps you feel brake lockups or traction loss a lot better than just straight FFB through the wheel. Apparently this works in combo with the V3 pedals.
Now the CSL pedals I thoguht was intitially quite strange. The G27 pedals requires little pressue to operate which also they meant had about as much feel as a sausage down an alley... The CSL pedals are very different, I opted to keep the elastomer bushings(3 sets of varying shore provided) at the lightest setting but this still required a lot of pressure to operate compared with the G27 which meant lots of missed apexes and sometimes the corner entirely! This was not helped by the fact I don't have a solid rig setup and the seat kept rolling back... However once I managed get my head around these issues and put in some laps I found that I could modulate the brake much better as the resitance gave me a much better feel for where I was in the brake throw.
So the question is, is it worth the money?
For me absolutley, I could not stretch to the full ClubSport V2 wheel and V3 pedals for now, but I do have the option of an upgrade path in the future.
All in all I am really happy with this upgrade, the only issue I now have is when and where I can build a solid rig!!

Must admit, I had not tried the G29.
To be honest even if I had, knowing what I know now, this would not have changed my mind to buy the Fanatec setup.
The extra feel you get from the wheel is hard to quantify and explain to someone who hasn't had the chance to sitdown for a couple of hours and try it.

I would love to do it, but finding good high end wheels for PS4 is hard, and expensive. My hardcore sim days are long behind me, until we move to a bigger house, I've finished my racekor, and my credit cards are paid off, I won't be in the position to build a high end PC and sim rig, I'd love to though!
For the cost / fun the G29 and Playseat was around £350 all in. I remember about 5 years ago my friend had a Fanatec wheel and the alcantara/suede covering alone felt better than the leather on the G25 at the time.
3x monitor, motion rig, that would be the dream haha.
