I've just had a quick go, managed a 1:35.980 but that was with a bit of an off track moment which wasn't disallowed but I think it was a bit too much so I'm not adding myself to the list.
i'm away for the rest of week so I'm going to have to sit this one out. I'm guessing the fastest time is going to be in the high 1:33's though.

I haven't got a McClaren F1, it must be a DLC car.

Can we swap to a car that is available in the Vanilla addition?

Honestly, I don't mind. I was going to buy the car pack but, £4 for a cartoon video game car that I'll probably only use this week just seemed a bit steep! Probably best to let someone else pick the car as I'm not going to have much chance to do laps anyway this week.

Maybe something quick like the Gumpert might be fun? I dunno, whatever the majority fancy is fine by me and, if most of you have the F1 and want to crack on with that as you've already done laps, I have no problem sitting this week out.

The wheel will take a bit of getting used to after a pad but, it should also be more fun.

I'll try to get some laps in tomorrow before work, haven't driven the Gumpert yet...

It's a feisty little thing, the Gumpert! Laughably easy to spin exiting any corner if you're not extremely careful....but fun biggrin

Easier to control than the McF1 despite feeling like your drifting through some of the fast corners. Track is alright but that first chicane I'm sure has a lot of time to be lost depending on how well you can ride the bumps.

Mucked it up quite badly in places, so a high 31 should be within grasp. The car is a bit of a handful though so not sure I can be bothered.

Had a play last night and thought I'd reached my limit, then tried again tonight and found a second on first two laps. Strange. Good combo, never driven it before but quite liking the Apollo.

What I noticed straight away with the grumpert was the brakes bein good
So can brake late towards the corners and turn in good.

Been working nightshift and busy through the day so been unable
To set up the wheel any and put in a competitive time.

Yep, get the braking late enough and you can shave loads off. This is just a few more laps from my last post and nearly another second off. Mostly won on the first chicane and hairpin braking.

Managed to improve quite a bit, although admittedly i did cock it up coming in into the chicane at turn 5(?) and managed to get the rear swinging round on me but it then seemed to hook up on the curbs sending me straight again, i am quite surprised this didn't get invalidated to be honest!

Two replays as I noticed something else missing.

1m32.649s replay, captured from the in game 2min replay - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWcIu2irwwc

a live capture lap as I was driving (FPS during capture were up and down) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2HhzBTkhy4

There are missing sounds on the Time Trial lap replay, no tyre squeal, no brakes/lockups. Not mentioned as being a fix on the big v3 update coming. - here

I think I could knock a second off with a cleaner smoother lap, getting into the apexes better and then getting on the throttle earlier. I think I'm too careful at the first chicane and the final chicane too.

Had to update this post twice as I've been waiting for the youtubes uploads to finish biggrin

I think I have at least a second in this on the brakes, and another half a second I lost in the middle sector, tight chicane.

Like this combo!

I had a healthy portion of luck at the first chicane having braked too late, I just had to turn in and hope for the best and somehow ended up straight having bounced off the kerbs, still carrying a reasonable amount of speed with me....if only I could do that on purpose!!
