I'm not fussed DR. Who is picking the new combo anyhoo, it's normally discussed ahead of time so everyone knows what the new one is?

Looking back through the thread I've missed some cracking combos over the last 6 weeks gadnamit frown
I'm quite happy for a Sunda update.

How about a Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth Gr.A at Sonoma National ?

Could be an interesting combo I think.

Sounds good

Hated that track with the focus RS in the torrential rain

Look forward competing this week

I like the track but i have an issue on the main straight with a dodgy cut track penalty invalidating current and next lap. I'm just driving down the main straight, just before the left kink to cross start finish line and I get a penalty, weird one. Anyone else have this issue?

Edit: Ignore me, I just realised by going all the way to the usual hairpin I'm acually off track lol. Will try again.

Nice lap B2BS. I got close to your ghost but you have it easily on the final sector.

Somewhat annoyed that I can go faster on a £25 Xbox pad than £300 worth of wheel and stand but I'll take whatever i can get smile

That final hairpin is a bh though.

Stick with the wheel DR, it took me 5 months to get up to speed with my first wheel (DFGT) after playing pad for 6 years. Worth it in the end, it so much more fun with a wheel, and as an added bonus it annoys the missus more as well smile

I managed a 1:39.770 but it seemed i cut the last hairpin a little, yeah its a bh biggrin
Managed to shave 8 thou of it though by going deeper but gaining more speed than my ghost at the line!

There is a 1:38 in there, if I could just hold it all together for the whole lap smile

I had a quick go yesterday and I am WAY off the pace it seems. Not even sure if I'll get another chance this week but, thought I'd post it to stop anyone else from being last hehe

I'll stick with it for sure, it is indeed more fun. Pain in the arse to get it out and set-up though (missus hates it too), which is why I often flip between pad and wheel.

Strange on the pace thing though. On some combos I can't get anywhere near my wheel time on the pad and others its the total opposite. I guess I just need more practice to up my consistency and get past 'the wall'. I often get what I think is a reasonable time at the beginning of the week and then you lot thrash it by at least 2 or 3 seconds at least by Saturday.

Still, all good fun, I spend more time on the PH TTs than awful public lobby races!

You will get used to it, you might need a bit of tweaking of the settings. Are you set to 900 degrees in the Windows config? Bit of tweaking of the FFB settings as well, check websites for best settings. Then tweak them in game, again search the web for other tips and settings.

I remember going from a non-FFB wheel to a FFB wheel and that took me a while to get used to. So from pad to wheel will take a while.

I would love to be able to flip between the wheel and pad, for exactly the same reason. It is such a pain to get out and set up the wheel, especially if I only intend to play for 30 mins or so. Trouble is, I am absolutely terrible with a pad. It just feels wrong and I have no coordination at all. Might have to try it and then post a video of my best 'pad lap' for a laugh hehe

I have noticed generally that there are some people who tend to post a good time right out of the gate and there are others (like me) who usually start off with a mediocre time and then improve incrementally throughout the week. Despite a slightly scrappy lap, I honestly thought my laptime yesterday wasn't too bad until I came on here and saw how far of the pace I was!!

Wow this is tough not a track I've driven yet in the game
So learning quickly. Loosing a chunk of time at the double
Right hand bend at end of the drag strip and humongous
Under steer going to take a bit to get used to but it's fun
And challenging especially missing the hairpin the first time around

Managed to knock a few tenths off but i don't see me being able to shave much more off without a mega clean drive, which just isnt going to happen smile

I tried setting to 900 but could only get it on to 899. I read somewhere that it has to be 900 dead on but can't see how that makes a real difference, or does it? Rest of my settings are pretty much default, perhaps I should do some research.

Oh, just to clarify, I'm not blaming my tools here wink

Thanks Billy, will have a look through that thread. From the first post thought, it sounds like I can just download that chap's files as I'm playing on PC. Will have a hunt around and see what I can find. Cheers!

I just open the pdf file and has different ffb settings to suit your style

Also has full table to adjust each car
Adjusting the master scale and the fx ft and sop transforms the handling
Smooths the acceleration and the steering tho had to turn force feedback down
From 100-70ish
