If it's any help my fastest laps are never the first, I am doing runs of between 4-8 laps, getting in a rhythm. The tyres last a lot longer than some we have done trials with.

This one was my 4th lap


I never use ghosts either I find them a distraction, I use the sector times box even and keep an eye on the realtime lap time, green I'm ahead, red behind.

Missed the first few seconds starting the lap as I had slowed, checked the times, then looked at the replay and lost a few secs in the process.

I don't remember it being like this before I installed patch 4 but my kers doesn't charge up on the first couple of corners on the first lap is it just me?

Not had chance to drive tonight but was wondering about the kers. On this car it activates automatically on full throttle press so I have no way of choosing when to use it. Is that right? On FA you just press the button to give it a blast.

Same with me activates kers on full throttle then charges up on heavy braking

If your kers don't charge in first 2 corners then that's a prob. That's 2 heavy braking points
Into 2 fast straights so having kers help get up to speed

I had a go at this track/car combo last night...I like it better than the Escort, but man is it hard to string a lap together without having the lap invalidated! My best so far is a scrappy 1:53:? (don't put me on the table just yet)

You really need to to a few laps together, get those tyres warmed up and get into a good rhythm. With the tyres up to temp you can brake harder and later into the 3 big stops turn it into the kerb and get smoothly on the power out.

Still showing KERS at 100 during the TT replay playback, I managed a 1m48.9s earlier captured the video and that time it was 0 all the way around!

This is the dash and time as I crossed the line on my 48.2 lap, zero KERS on the screen cap. I guess I should post the bug on the PCars site.

Should be back on for 2 hours later to give it more it's working well and my Ffb settings making it controllable

To make you all jealous I was Brands yesterday on a BMW marketing day.

X3 off-roading
I3 on road behind a guide car
M135i on track behind pace car
M235i convertible with roof down as above
M4 convertible with roof down as above (my mate got to M5 first dammit)
M4 coupe on track with instructor beside me I got to absolutely rag it
M235i race prepared driven by Alexander Sims BMW GT driver (just wow!)
Handling stuff in M235i
M6 (omg what a car) on road behind a guide car, sadly it was school run time by the time we got out in this so limited chance to explore its performance, but by gum it's quick)

I got a crazy idea to spice things up a bit with the time trial. A consistency race

We go in practice mode. Car tuning,set up free. 30 min practice and a 10 lap race on your own.

Post up your fastest lap but also post your total time to do the 10 laps which will count
Winner chooses car track and weather so we could do 10 laps in a thunderstorm

I'm in love with the 235, doubt if I could stretch to the M3/M4. Will see how I feel when the current lease is up. Not putting many miles on this one, might have to go electric.

Project CARS weekly offline challenge race. AI set to 100, track/car/conditions set, as much practice as needed allowed, no qualifying, player starts last

Now that would be a challenge.

I just can't enjoy (or go quick in) downforce cars, it's too much on the edge, the slightest mistake and it's game over, no chance of recovery. My old brain just can't compute it.
