Right, details of the next championship. Hopefully this at the displeases the least amount of people. That seems the most I can hope for haha.
Week 1 - 7th June
Class: Muscle (Free choice)
Circuit: Anaconda Grand Prix
Week 2 - 14th June
Class: Comet
Circuit: Sochi Autodrom GP
Week 3 - 21st of June
Class: Shafter
Circuit: Dockyard Autocross 30p
Week 4 - 28th of June (I can't make this date so either can do it on the Monday or Eased or Cheshire Cowboy can host)
Class: Super (Free choice)
Circuit: Seed Circuit
Week 5 - 5th of July
Class: Elegy RH8
Circuit: Nurburgring 30 players
So hopefully this mixes variety and one car races whilst remaining cheap as the muscles/elegy/schafters are cars that people most probably have or are cheap to obtain and mod. Dockyard Autocross and Nurburgring are races some of you may have played before but I edited slightly to make available for a suitable number of players.

I will be playing this through on wednesday if anyone is up for joining me and will be doing some practices for race 1 after.
PS. The lobby will be open at 9:00 on sundays and race to start exactly at 9:30 as per last championship. If someone can't make a week, they will only lose out on points as there are no teams to keep full, just every man for himself.

I can't complain about that format; thanks for organising it. I'll be in as many as I can.
One thing I would say is that because the Elegy can't be sold, anyone who has to buy and mod one just for the race will lose out if they want to get rid afterwards. But since it's quick, it is worth keeping.

We discussed it heavily last night between a few of us, and came to the conclusion that asking most people to spend 300k buying and modding a car they dont have was a bit steep with only 1 or 2 weeks notice to raise the funds.Especially as so many people showed interest in an all Comet race
We will most likely do a comet cup for the next tournament when we can give people plenty of notice

It was mainly to keep the cost down as I gathered that was something people were worried about and an Elegy cost 100,000 less to get fully upgraded and purchased. I am happy to make race 2 a Comet though if a few more people were to confirm they have the money or have the car already.Especially as so many people showed interest in an all Comet race
Fair enough, at least use other classes though?
Coupe or Sedan both have good cars that can be found on the street and kept.
Id even rather do a Sport or Super race than repeat a class personally.
Plus, these days 300k is small change really, especially as you could sell it after and recoup some of that

It is what I personally wanted but tried to take on board what I gathered other people wanted, I may well have got that wrong but I tried to please the most.
I will give till the end of today for people to voice any changes they may want to make to classes but I will be only making changes if there is a sizeable amount of people saying they want a certain change as I don't want people to think I will constantly change the race details based on every different opinion.
I will pose these 2 questions as potential changes for people to answer.
-Should race 2 be a Comet?
-Should race 4 be Supers (free choice)?
Basically, if enough people say yes to the above I will change but by the end of today the details will be properly locked in.

Im not bothered what the specific classes or cars are, I just dont see the need to duplicate two of them when there are so many others to choose from.
Personally Im not a big fan of muscle cars, one race with them wouldn't bother me though, where as having 40% of the whole series in them would lower my interest in joining in.
I'm not trying to be awkward, I just think that with the vast amount of cars to choose from, it seems odd that two need to be used twice

You say people wouldn't want to spend a load of money to get a new car, but you assume that everyone owns an Elegy RH8 and a Schafter. The Elegy is no longer the most competitive car, so not everyone will have it. *And it's one of the most expensive cars to upgrade due to it being free.
Some people are going to have to buy a car no matter what, so why not make it one single car that can be used for the entire series, and why not make it a relatively cheap one that a lot of people have shown interest in? The Comet is 100k stock, and the upgrades are relatively cheap. It's not exactly a Z-Type.

Just going off cost to get a Comet fully upgraded is $265,550 and Elegy is $165,550 they both cost the same to mod but the Elegy is free, and still the fastest sports car it's just difficult to get the most out of. A Dominator and Schafter can both be found on the road and upgraded for $114,525 if people don't have them already. Im happy with the 2 suggested changes. Not fussed about cost, its easy to make money in the game nowdays. Dont understand all the fuss on cost to be honest. especially when we are talking between an Elegy and a Comet. Going with the flow on this one. Not fussed if we do all of 1 car or it varies. Happy just to do races. Never tried a comet for racing mind you. The thing is tail happy!
how about chucking a comedy race in just for laughs? Tour bus/Dump/Greyhound bus race if they are possible half way through the series?

I'd be alright with the proposed changes, but I still think the Comet Cup should be strongly considered seeing as there's been no clear bias to either choice and there was a lot of support previously.
To avoid the problem of nobody being strongly opposed to either idea, I've made a strawpoll:

-Comet Cup
-Single class free choice, and the leader/host decides the class
-Original series
-Original series plus changes mentioned above
This way we can get a clear majority vote rather than vague agreements to everything- which I know I'm guilty of, by the way! Sorry if it forces people to make a definitive decision, but I fear we'll end up without any clear majority otherwise and that'll leave some wondering why the other ideas were scrapped.

Now pansdown has got off his backside and created this series, the only choice for us is to either join in or not.
There's plenty of time for the comet cup or panto pandemonium after this series.
Like I said the other day pansdown at some point you have to say this is what I'm running , this is the first track , this is when it starts and just see who turns up, well done for getting the ball rolling.
