Gushing passionate speech about DS DS3 and the legendary director. With a small amount of "check me out" thrown in, when discussing beating bosses on first play through
All in all, I entirely agree with your post. I have completed it twice now and started my NG+2 play through. What a masterpiece.

PS - I am only jealous I didn't beat all the bosses first time. On my NG+ play through I only took assistance with the final boss but got him down to less than half on his second phase on my first go. I just wasn't that bothered about single manning him. I will do that on NG+2

What a game and as you say, DLC please! :-)

Cheers

Been playing this for a month or two now, and enjoying it very much - I do like the Souls games.

I am feeling a bit cheated by the Boss Souls though. I suppose it's not much different from the earlier games, but as I've focussed mostly on spells and pyromancy I find that most of the items I can get from Boss Souls are pretty useless - they need strength and dexterity that I'm not even close to. The spells and rings available seem pretty average. I think I've only used a couple of boss souls - I may just give up and spend them all to level up!

For better or worse, the boss soul weapons have always been a class of their own. They require a special item to level up and their stats are never as blowaway as you'd expect them to be. The game would be spoiled if say, everyone just ran around wielding the Vendrick Greatsword +10 or the Spear of Astora +10. Some of the boss spells and pyromancies seem okay. They're interesting novelties, but I would have liked to have seen them at least balanced to a level playing field with the basic weapons.
