Anyone feel something is just a bit off about this game? It's barely been promoted and we have very few details so far. You'd think EA would be on solid ground with the franchise, but don't forget how they ruined Command & Conquer, or released Titanfall 2 and Mirrors Edge Catalyst with barely any hype.

Something else I wasn't aware of was the controversy surrounding one of the lead designers having a history of tweeting some pretty racist stuff. But because it was against white people, he still has a job (spoiler tags due to NSFW language)

I guess he brings something 'special' to the design office hehe

What a fruitloop rofl

As for the game, maybe they'll promote it more closer to release (month before) so people don't get bored of the hype?

3 months out? For a series as big as Mass Effect the hype train should be on full steam.

Yeah, also a little concerned about the lack of build up.

I would have assumed we'd have inital reviews, adverts and all sorts flung at us by now...

Maybe they're waiting until a month before to ensure the momentum carries through to release date? I hope to God it is good; I've been waiting on this for ages.

Alternatively they are not releasing much as it could be crap. Compare what we have so far with when DA:I was released - we had a year of developers playthroughs, proper trailers etc.

It's a bit concerning but I guess time will tell. I just hope it is not just more open world fetch quests like DA:I was for most of its content.

Femshep was always the better of the two, I felt her voice acting was much more engaging. This time it seems that no matter which one you pick the other will be around to play a key role. And EA being EA they've announced 2 collector's editions with a scale/RC model - that don't include the actual game!
Wasn't just the voice acting for me, but also the chance to not have a Chiselly McChisel face as the protagonist.

There's something satisfying about saving the galaxy as an arse kicking female space marine. It still is a fairly unusual occurrence.
Plus the LesShep scenes were more satisfying
Everyone dressing it up as "better voice acting", etc and it's left to Wobbegong to give us the straight dope. biggrin

Personally I think the game does look a bit crap, might explain the silence over it.

I was annoyed when the pre-order wasn't included in Origin's "30% off everything store-wide" sale before Christmas... think I'll wait for proper reviews before coughing up now...

It's cheap easy filler to pad the game length out and provide 'content'.
I'm genuinely worried about this now; I fear that the original trilogy, flawed as it was, was the high point.

Another new trailer:

Starting to come quicker now. Seems.like we've got a blonde human female and a female turian companion for the first time.

Can anyone else see a 'sacrifice one of the son/daughter combo' on the horizon already?

Someone has pointed out that the blonde woman is called cora harper.

Only one other harper has been named in the me universe- jack harper, also known as the illusive man.

So...

Cerberus.

That's my interest killed.

I hope they've finally figured out how to make hair that's longer than your neck, and give you the ability to change it once the game starts. Honestly, you literally have an entire galaxy to explore but not a single barber in it.
