PS4 Gaming Headset

Is the Sony Wireless Headset 2.0 the same thing as the PS4 Gold wireless headset? There's a lot of reviews for the Gold and they look the same. If anyone has a PS4 and an Xbox One with the Wireless 2.0 headset, does the headset and mic work on Xbox plugged into the Stereo Headset adapter in the controller? If it does then I could get a set and use them on both. (Yes I know they wouldn't be surround on the Xbox).

I think it is yes.

In the end I couldn't justify to myself the £250 asking price of the Astros, so I bought the Sony headset. Set it all up easy enough (even if the instructions were wrong) and have given it a brief go. Seems to work well, good sound and the surround effect is very noticeable over my non surround headset. Comfy to wear too. Just need to see how well the inbuilt mic works and set up the appropriate level of sidetone.
