... Bring World at War and MW2 to PS4? As a remastered version? It's something I'd love to see, as I'm really not keen on the anti gravity flying stuff of AW, but I'm unsure as to whether they will do. I can see it being a cash cow if they did, for sure, but they were such good games is happily pay the price for them! biggrin

Don't see why they'd do that when they could bring the one everyone knows and loves, COD4 back.

I doubt it though, it would mess up their yearly release schedule.

That was a good one as well, if only they would bring out versions of CoD4, World at War and Modern Warfare 2 as a multipack...

Agree with messing up their yearly schedule, but I do think there'd be a lot of people who would buy it.

given their development schedules, it would be too much work for too little return. Yes loads of people would buy them but not as many as the Annual releases I think.

Short answer is no!

There were no jump packs or stupid guns back in WW2 so how can the younger generation cope with having to walk / run around a map and shoot things? Also what would be the daft kill streaks be? Some crazy German war machine?

Quiet frankly this franchise is dead (at least to me) until they bring back a decent FPS GUN GAME like MW2!

rant over! smile

Nope. Mainly because the people that understand/wrote the coding are now all at Respawn. Its way all the games since MW2 have been pish.

Sony are on about a streaming service for back catalogue though. God knows how that will work.

It'll never happen. The COD franchise is too locked into it's successful money making scheme. Yearly game. 8 months of DLC. Repeat.

It'd be nice to see WaW come back as it was something of a connoisseur's choice (and easily the best COD single player game of the lot) in an ocean of rubbish. MW2 was rubbish, and typifies COD at it's worth (moreso than the awful Ghosts, because that was lacklustre whereas MW2 just pandered to the worst part of the player demographic). We'll not be seeing them released though, for better or worse, because they'd divert too much of the player base away from the big ticket titles.

At least we're getting a Treyarch COD this year, something worth celebrating as they're usually the best of the bunch.

As an offline player (Where possible) I'd just like a COD with a decent offline story.. Played through CoD 2,3 MW & MW2 last year and they were fking great. Still keeping hold of my XB360 so that I can go back and play whenever (These and portal2..)

Pretty sure there I saw something regarding MW and MW2. I don't see why they couldn't do a remaster of those two. Halo did it. We are getting Vegas 1 and 2 coming free with Rainbow Six.( Hopefully including multilayer as there is so much fun to be had on some great maps)

Zombies is the best thing about COD. Therefore Black Ops 1&2 were the best.

They should be available soon enough I'd have thought. MS are doing the backwards compatibility thing and Sony are doing the expensive game stream thing. Surely it's only a matter of time as they're still re-releasing everything else.

I think the issue on the MS side of things would be the fact that'd be free and we all know Activision are money grabbing wnkrs who wouldn't be too happy about that.

Personally I wouldn't like them to touch the game at all. Literally don't update the graphics, the colours, the game play, the kill streaks, nothing.... well maybe take out tubing and commando.

Bare in mind MW2 is still very playable on the Xbox with not many hacked lobbies.
