Music, excellent. Atmosphere, cracking.

First time I was met over a trench by Darth was ace and of course I died, but grinning smile

However, it feels like a bit of a meat grind. Kill....die...repeat. Even the objectives are a bit overly repetitive. Maybe other game modes in the final product will being more variety.
I pretty much agree with this. Looks, sounds and feels like the opening Hoth battle.

Not sure how much depth there is?

I'm really enjoying it. FPS are all repetitive so not an issue for me. It's like halfway between COD and battlefield IMO. Anyway here's a little vid of me this morning. Not my best but it'll do.

Just spent the afternoon playing this. It's bloody awesome because it's STAR WARS! I love FPS games and I love Star Wars, they made this game especially for me and I couldn't be happier. Yes I am easily pleased.

Love the sounds and sights, not so much a fan of flying things because I crash a lot but that's hardly the games fault. Really need to adjust the flying controls because they are not even backwards, they are just wrong. I'm still a bit confused about the controls and no clue what I'm doing half the time, things like the 3 weapon options on the big walker, no clue what the middle thing does.

None of it matters, I just want to use a blaster and be 10 years old again every time I hear the sound effects.

It's as above. You play, there are all the noises from the films..

You fly an X-wing at a Tie Fighter and it makes the noise of firing... You run a blaster, and guess what...

Oh, how the feck do you get into an AT-AT?

Find one of those little blue star/flashy things, that's how I've got into all the vehicles. It's 3rd person like the little ones, or maybe I haven't found the first person button yet! It's time limited when you get in so you can't just sit in it the entire game and waste everything that moves.

I nearly managed to get the two AT-ATs right at the end, sadly failed.

Well I couldn't get the fking thing to start, despite trying every solution the net could provide.

Deeply frustrated.

Haven't been able to get on the servers for the last couple of days. Is the beta finished?

They were not too shabby on the PS4. Though frankly just the noises took me back to my childhood and meant the gameplay could be fairly naff and I'd still love it... Luckily gameplay is not too bad either!

Broke my self imposed no-pre-orders rule for this one..... please EA don't f-up the first weekend like you have with battlefield 4, 3 and pretty much every other essential online game in living memory..... they have to get one right don't they?

I think I'll have to get this for the PC (crap with controller for FPS..)

I note that it's a whopping £105 on the PS store! Do people actually spend that much - I guess they must do, otherwise the prices wouldn't be so silly...

That'll be for the premium version. The standard edition in the PS Store is £55. Still not exactly what you'd call cheap (not sure if linky will work as i had to enter my age to get to the page):

Funny thing is the game i've enoyed most over the last couple of months has been Super Meat Boy, which is free to download for the PS4 from the PS Store. Terrific game and loads of replayability.

I'll still be picking up Battlefront though. I was impressed by the Beta, enough at least to give the full game a go shoot

I still can't fathom how they charge more for the digital version than the physical, re-sellable version.

Nor me, makes little sense at all.
