Top tip- if you find that on occasion a grenade or something else assigned to the R1 or L1 buttons is being activated without those buttons being pressed, it is because you're touching the touch-pad with the edge of your thumbs. Swiping the touch-pad activates these buttons. Thankfully, this can be turned off in the options. It took a few suicides before I managed to sort this out. 
Thank you thank you thank you! I've been convinced my controller is on the blink but this has sorted it. Always seemed to accidentally throw one in the most confined of spaces!I wasn't sure about buying the season pass, mainly because I feel slightly ripped off as it means the game is roughly £80 and that seems too much.
Then it happened, I broke. Playing one of the games today I was transported to Endor and a Speeder went past me, I was 12 years old all over again! I'll buy the stupid pass later today, damn you EA!

Well I'm rank 11, question is, on FPS I like fully automatic smg's like for example ak's MP5's and so on, what's everyone using, I unlocked the weapon at rank8 which fits the bill and looking through the other ones you can unlock when ranking up this seems about the best available. Also what's everyone using for cards,
Thinks the cards are going to be debatable, when's the first lot of new maps available if you just bought the standard game which I made the mistake off, surely can't be now already

No worries, dude. 
The only thing that stopped me from going out and buying another controller was the fact that this wasn't happening when playing other shooters. 
Still enjoying this. For all its faults, DLC issues and number of maps out of the box (I'd rather have fewer excellent maps than loads of generic ones, incidentally), this is so, so much fun. Having said that, as always, playing with mates makes it. Without that, I can kind of see the appeal waning.
I put in a few hours over the weekend, mostly drunk so my K/D is terrible at the moment but i'm loving it. I find myself playing Walker Assault primarily, i love the big maps. I'm using the E11 blaster, a nice mix of damage and fire rate.
The one ctiticism i have is that there is no hardcore mode, hopefully this will come soon.

I'm level 11 myself. I've found the rebel / imperial assault rifles are good all-rounders. The T-21 is a monster at range. Slow fire rate but the accuracy and damage make it very effective. On small maps i use the DL-44 pistol, which again due to its high damage is excellent. Star card wise i've been using the impact grenade and Pulse Cannon. I've just unlocked the Homing Shot, but on first impression i prefer the Pulse Cannon. Looking forward to getting the jump pack and cycler rifle. all ive been playing is blast, is it, its just team death match, imperial assault rifle is what im using to be honest, nothing else has took my fancy, ill be back on tomorrow night, may try some different game typesI've been playing mainly Drop Zone so far and it's been going well. Not got PS4 yet but looking for Xmas & a bundle with this in + FIFA 16. Is this game suitable for a 12 year old....and can you play offline together ie could my son and I play together offline like the old days :-) ? Not used to online gaming but looks like that's what this game is all about.....not sure I understand but to play online do I need to buy something else ?

You need a playstation + subscription around £40-45 a year but includes free games over the year.£273.99 for battlefront SW and fifa 16 at amazon at the moment, you just need an extra controller to play with your kid and a subscription to play online.
There are also co-op missions which are a lot of fun. I've been playing them online but I think they're available on split screen.
Tremendous fun last night fellas.. Stand out moments being a super close game of Hero Hunt (the winning kill coming in at 2 seconds left! 
) and an epic Walker Assault lost in the dying seconds.

The best review I can give it is that Havoc says its not bad – that was two days ago mind so maybe since then the hit detection/net code/glitching etc issues have struck and he’ll never buy a EA/DICE piece of XXXX again! The more I play it, the more I’m enjoying it. They have done a good job of making the games very objective focused on the plus side there is always a lot of action, on the downside it can become a bit too much who has the fastest reactions rather than best gameplay. As someone alluded to on here before its almost like an entry level Battlefield, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
I cannot get used to using the controller to aim or fly, very frustrating for a 49 year old who's more used to mouse, keyboard and joysticks!
My teenage step son however, is brilliant at it!

I'm the same, I grew up playing FPS games on PC. My teenage step son however, is brilliant at it!
