The silence is deafening! it looks like this comment went down like a lead balloon, it wasn't intended as an insult.
I was on server 106 for a while looking (and failing to locate) for you guys, I came across a few people, spoke with most of them on game chat without any incidents, they were friendly enough, like many just suspicious/defensive of anyone approaching them.

Anyway
I thought it was a good suggestion as judging by the comments you guys seem to keep running into "toxic" people and not liking it very much on every server you try.....Perhaps PvE would be more enjoyable?!

smile

No offence taken bud, probably looks like we're having a worse time than we actually are when we write on the forums, it's good fun

Pve is boring imo, I enjoy fighting people on it, I do think we've been choosing servers wrongly though, going for quiet American servers which become active when we're sleeping, making us an easy target, an EU server which is heaving is harder to get into but way more fun

One thing I was missing last night was the inability to t bag Dalzo while I was sleeping. EU 181 seems to be a good server still. I had some good armour stolen but everything else was left alone.

I figure that's fair game seen as the armour I had was stolen from someone else biggrin

I think Dalzo is saying that he didn't like being knocked out and put in a cage, but if he had one unlocked he'd be doing it to others.

Very productive night last night, took my dino transport raft North and built a base at 15-42.
Got a few fireplaces, narcotics, mejoberries, steel pike, tranq arrows and another bow in a large storage chest in there to prep for mammoth hunt take 4.

Tamed a few additions to the southern Ranch while up there, came home with this lot (Photobucket is down: Carno, mated pair of Rapters, Three (Two female and one male) Sabretooths and a decent lvl Dilophosaurus...I'll add the pic one photobucket sorts it's **** out!).

The trip back was a nightmare, raft kept getting attacked and even had to stop twice twice to defend the tames from a Sarco then a trio of mega piranhas, first time I've come across the latter out at sea!!!!

I didn't think the tames could be attacked while in the water as the foundation is raised from the base lvl of the standard raft! think I need to build it a bit higher

Yes a very late night, very satisfying though.

edit to add pic, now PB is working

I always have a ramp to the roof and just have the dinos up there. Set them all to passive and even if something has a swipe at you, just carry on sailing.

To be honest there is a better way to transport dinos quickly but you need a friend to be in the private game.

Build an outpost in the snow biome, get friend to ride dino you wish to transport, fast travel to home base. It will drag second player, said dino and anything either of them were carrying back with you.

I've used it to farm loads of metal and other materials.

Checked this morning and we were untouched. However while I was on I noticed a raft had made its way to the beach near us. They may attack. I was in two minds to attack them first but thought best not.

Not sure if they had spotted us though.

Hut is now all wood. Got a shock when I dismantled the door frame to find a dilo waiting to eat us all. Me and the 2 dodos managed to just about knock it out and kill it before hastily adding a new wooden door and frame smile

I popped on about 4pm today and we were all unconscious in the hut and it was missing a door which I replaced with thatch as I was not able to build a wood door. Some activity over near the coast but otherwise quiet. I will be on Saturday afternoon.

So I Took the boys on a little boat trip to Dead (Carno) Island...all set to Follow the Ape (I was riding it's shoulders)...all set to Aggressive and "attack your target".

It was f*****ing awesome. btw the Raptors died first and were honestly a let down followed by the Ape. The Dilophosaurus were quite frankly amazing, killing carnos, scorpions, sabretooths, argentavis and rexs no problem. All was going well until our path was blocked on about lap three by an Alpha Carno. the little Dilophosaurus did their best.

I wish I had a Video recording device, thinking of getting an Elgato HD60 or something. anyone here use one???

Mammoths, a handful of failed attempts then BAM you end up with two

Downed this one, direwolves came and it was all over......

So try again, downed another and successfully Guarded my tame with a direwolf and crossbow.

And then this grey one that I managed to get it to chase me in close to my NW hut

I Wanted the grey one down at the SW Ranch to help with the extensions..the trip back was interesting.....

Both were probably the most nerve wrecking tames so far, such a relief to get them home

friends and I have set up on 577 at around about 45,25 on the map, near the Western waterfall just south of the Volcano. Seems a pretty peaceful server and all are welcome to join us.

Our base is a bit of a bh to get to (intentional as to avoid the early spawn bloodbaths you get on the beaches). You have to spawn at West 3, hope you get the middle one and head north easterly from there.

We started Friday and are just about starting to make metal structures, kibble and some high level dino saddles.
Tamed so far are a Trike, Pterendon, Dodos, Dilos, Ankylo, Doedicurus. I don't think an Argentavis is too far off.

We've kept the base well hidden and in a remote spot. We have also done some trading with some more local tribes too who seem pretty passive.

Blade, have you gotten near taming a quetz yet? I've managed to land on one once but when I'd finished firing tranq darts at it's face it fell in water. I love the idea of building some sort of flying base on it.

Nope not yet, there is one spawned my game along with a Giganotosaurus...I'm in no rush to tackle either just yet.

Happy working on my recently built NW hut and expanded the SE Ranch at the moment.

lol It's a bh when you spend ages downing a creature to tame it only for it to end up in the water and drown! I had that happen with a T-Rex on the slip of water between carno island and the little mini island just off it's NE coast.
I managed to get it's mate though, along with a new Megalodon, two Sabretooths , three Dilophosaurus, a raptor and another Scorpion.

Think I will jump on with you lot as the other server seems to be full all the time now. Jumped on a PVE server last night and it's just not the same. The sense of danger really makes this game.

Servers that getting full after you have established yourself could be a real issue for this game.

seems like the game is quietening down now and we seem to be able to connect a bit easier.

Making real strides on 577. Have a completely stone house with mostly metal spikes on every land-able area and all around the perimeter. We have two platforms with species x plants at the front, two dino pens (built into the main building) including two Pterendons, Ankyo, Doedicurus, Trike, Scorpion as well as an egg farm of dodos and dilos. Lots of doors throughout the house to deter any would be raiders.

I think a vault/metal room is next on the list for the house and taming of an Argentavis and frog soon.

Sounds ace smile

Bit of a late one for me last night.....This happened, lvl 108 + 51...poor health as he was attacking my lightweight/speedy flyer when I came out the hut!!! It was worth it though and made up for the good Argentavis I lost the other day.

Oh and I made some white dye for my fur gear.

and penned in my lagoon to keep my sea creatures safe

Not sure if you've been online today Gav but the students have tamed an Argentavis, another Pteranodon and a Frog.

They're about to make an outer perimeter for the house and keep the lesser dinos outside.

Brilliant I should be able to make stone walls tonight so hopefully I can help out.

did you make much progress last night?

I think we need to use up that stockpile of metal and gunpowder. I think we'll be building a vault soon as well as making the house completely out of metal.

Had fun messing about on Friday, dropping wild carnivores on other tribes and messing around with grenades. It won't be long before we're making C4.

When we get to that stage I think we clear out a few of the encroaching tribes in our area, or at least give them a deadline. The Osiris base at the top of the hill has to go but I think they may have already abandoned it.
