Had a bit of a fallout amongst the tribe about it last night.
Certain passive section think we just need to make sure it doesn't happen again, improve defences, build more species x, we're both small tribes and should be looking to stick together against the massive ones (house Targ and Team America) etc.
The problem with the defence plan is that there are ways around every defence. The attackers always hold the advantage, especially if no one is online for the defenders.
There was dialogue with Yeti last night wasn't there Gav?
I'm more of the opinion that we build up defences whilst accumulating more explosives and then strike when they they think we've forgotten them, with support from the other tribes around us. Those that we've helped and supported ourselves. I went as far as to say that if it goes unanswered then it happens again and again. If we act like bhes we get treated like bhes.
Then there is a proposal that we build a pub (now that you can craft beer) and sell beer on the server!
To be honest most of the tribe play World of Tanks and there's a give away this week that might see less of them on.

BTW PS4 guys....it is SONY holding back the pre-release due to them not having an early access program in place. From the horse's (studio wildcard's) mouth https://youtu.be/6SvJ8djpu80
Had a discussion last night. Looks like house of Targ are very close to wiping them out.
My view is we rebuild to a point where we know we can completely destroy them. A petty attack where we only do some damage will only result in us been raided again.
I would support a bigger tribe who intends to raid them. It wasn't an accidental attack they picked out a weak point and exploited it. I know this due to all the base repairs I did late Saturday night which took hours.
We got complacent though and really need to work together to achieve certain objectives like getting our base upgraded to metal and been more secure. We need to make some big changes to accommodate a vault too.
Having more than one dino pen helped massively it saved us from extinction. But they need better planning and more space. We also need to double skin our walls. It stops clipping exploits and makes it harder to get in.

Dayle's Jobs board will help but it does feel like being in a relationship. Still, a metal run only takes 5 minutes and gets about 150-200 ingots on the Argentavis.
I think you're right about the double skin, it would mean we could leave them all on aggressive, not that is matters, if someone is attacking the base in strength and we're not online then it's very much a case of they can go as far as their explosives allow.
Dalzo, managed to find that Quetz again on mine. Got it home and got a saddle on it. Private games are a bit diluted but it's good for learning the game mechanics and researching what you want to do in the proper game but part of the fun is being fked over and fking over other people. Those first few hours when you spawn in and it's lower level carnage on the beaches. Covert tactics, broken alliances, tribes splintering and turning on each other..... leaving 1000s of cloth hats in someones inventory when they're offline....

296hrs on this game now and absolutely hooked, that is a LOT more than any other game in my collection. This is easily my GOTY on that basis alone.
Had an awesome evening on Ark with the Mrs building up our wolf pack. All lvl 100+ before taming, good mix of males and females.
Ended the evening relaxing by the fire.
Wildcard thank you for split screen mode, it's a very welcome and well implemented addition to this incredible game.

Last night was interesting.
I went out on my fast flyer to find the cave that was recommended to me to build in, turns out it was the one that my tribe had a base in on PvP back when I was playing online, lovely big area just inside and easy to gate the entrance off, so I made a marker on the cliff above it then headed home.
On the way back I Spotted a three figure (112 iirc) Spino in a river near my SE base, Spinos have been very scarce lately so thought I'd get on it, downed it after it had done a bit of bounding around without too much drama, unfortunately it went down in the river. Checked on it and it wasn't losing oxygen so got some prime on it, then the Piranhas came, four or five of them. They killed the Spino before I could do anything about it......so that was that.
Thought I'd take the toad out for some cementing paste, it's only a low lvl (about 28 now) one though but has done great so far, I got over confident with it's abilities and almost got it killed, then came across a lvl 100 one so downed that and tamed it without any dramas.
Than headed for home and stumbled upon a high lvl Pachy, so yep had to have that too, took a bit of a while to tame and lots of bugs came, so just let Toad do his thing and all was good.
Another awesome night on Ark.

Just about to make a vault!
Tamed an Oviraptor to increase egg production
Base is near on full metal now
Kept getting attacked by a naked French guy with a club last night but he died every time (once at the end of a pike and once by being dropped from a great height!).
Will be a few on tonight

Where is this cave? Not sure if anyone here remembers me telling of the Argent I lost when I froze to death trying to tame my first mammoth weeks ago.
Well it turned up last night! I was messing around up at my icecave and spotted the green text (that shows up above your tames) in the slope opposite, I thought it odd as I don't keep any tames in the area so went to check it out.
My old faithful argent was just sat on the floor, still had all my stuff in the inventory and wearing saddle too.
I hopped on and put the quetz on follow and took him home.....great night.

Massive news...... we've brewed our first beer (it took nearly 4 real world days!)
A full scale battle on Ark must be epic. Imagine manning a turret on a war bronto next to another with tribe members on top of that. Unfortunately it takes so long to get to that stage and you'd stand to lose so much if it went wrong that I think it'd be very rare, that and flying mounts being more practical.
