Single player, no. Multiplayer online, usual multiplayer risks apply. After a brief flurry of activity in the few months after it was released the game has since died a death as there's little depth to it once you have an army of maxed out Trex's. Raided people's bases soon gets pretty boring too. But it'll certainly keep your lad occupied and entertained for quite some time so go for it!Thanks in advance.
It went on sale when new DLC came out so I've picked up a copy for myself and my son used his £10 birthday steam voucher. Top tip, don't ever get stuck on a desert island with me...I keep starving to death or being killed by diplodocus. Ark survival, more like Ark, how not to survive...I'm rubbish at this. Back to driving games I think.
I've been messing around with the console commands on my own game and, even so, it's incredibly hard to tame the Wyvern.
Luckily you can command tame the elementals and Manti(Mantis's?) but in the 'real game' it'd be so hard.
I'm nearly done taming two Wyverns but it's a very lengthy process, even with the commands (and 'everything' at your disposal).
Dalzo, when the mid-September update comes out you can dedicate a server with a PC/Laptop for XBL use.... We've nominated Dayle to host one so could have a PH and Friends xbox server (thinking increased xp, resource gather and maybe a bit of taming speed but leaving it standard except that), will let you know when it's up and running.

My Ragnarok ark seems to have very few dino spawns on it, can move around on foot or swimming for ages without seeing anything at all, pretty much the opposite to the Island map.
Is this the same for others, or just the way Ragnarok is?? if not any idea how I can get mine to populate with wild dinos please? No issues on my Island, Scorched Earth or center maps at all.
