ha ha new game...picking up Overyraptors and Dodos with my Pteranodon and dropping them in with my tamed Velociraptors (set on aggressive)....feeding time at Blade Ranch

yeah the new update went live over the weekend, the servers are just added to the bottom.

I too have my own private server where I just play about with taming, building mechanics etc and I've got a 'home base' in exactly the same place!

I've recently found a way to transport 1000s of metal on private hosted games.
Get a friend to join,
Go to a metal rich area (mountain tops usually),
Mine metal and keep giving all of said metal to friend (over encumbering him so he can't move at all)
When you have fully mined an area make a bed and foundation,
Give everything in your inventory to your friend except the bed and foundation,
Move far enough away that the foundation won't stop the metal ore respawning
Build bed then fast travel 'home'

You will drag your friend/mule back 'home'. Saves spending hours travelling on the raft or going back and forth on flying mounts. If you fly there initially, take one Pteranodon (carrying the second person) then have the mule sit on it while loading the Pteranodon with metal. It will transport the Pteranodon back too if mounted.

Obviously doesn't work with dedicated games.

What server are we on guys? I joined 385 and started at west2 but I couldn't find any of you or the tribe base?

we've pretty much left 385 now as it's Alpha tribe are poisonous.

I'll let you know when I get people on PvP again. At the moment we're mostly doing hosted offline (a bit like how the console Minecraft works).

Tamed a Megladon, Argentavis and Built a Bronco platform last night. A friend tamed a Dimorphodon and it now sits on his shoulder all the time;



Should also explain that he got disconnected and while his character was unconscious we dyed his clothes pink

My online server was full last night ,so I carried on with my single player character...Thought I'd take a nice day trip to carno island (Island in NE corner of the map)....came back with these guys

Went on and had a good laugh last night, got friendly with a guy who had a hit out on him in the server, so the two that kept killing him didn't know I was his mate, managed to get in their tribe gain their trust and then I let the door open and we killed the 2 of them as they screamed down the mic, must have been about 12 and they were honestly nearly crying
They then went and got back up and we ended up being chased all over the server by a robot t-Rex

This game really is excellent

Are you on 385? Managed to get a few back on last night. If you are, if you spawn in West 2, find the waterfall and follow it upstream then the base has partially been rebuilt on the island in the lake that the waterfall feeds from. We've a few flying mounts now (Argentavis and Pteranodon).

With the new servers going live 385 seems to have quietened down a bit. If you do get on that one go to that spot and if anyone is there building then speak to them. Be careful though, we've some species x plants that will attack anyone not in the tribe if you get too close.

Managed to get on server 385 earlier and think I found the base cos one of the plants got me

Unfortunately no one around though

385 is NA PvP. The original thinking was that by joining an NA server it'd be free at peak EU times but in reality it's still pretty full most of the time.

I went on for a bit on Friday night and tamed a Spino.... which took about 3 hours on PvP with plenty of prime meat.

We also found out how practical the Beelzebufo (giant frog) are. Licking the insects instantly makes cementing paste.

Also, how funny is the way you ride a Gigantopithecus? Especially if you equip it with a minors helmet.

Has anyone found a procoptodon yet? official server or offline, I'm yet to see one.

Na 385 although I'm mostly playing offline just now till we get decide what server were going to persevere with, can't be bothered constantly levelling up characters,what server are you on and what's your GT

how are you levelling up so quickly? I usually struggle to get to level 10 when I join a server, I do usually play solo online though.

Fair enough, give me a shout if a PH server ever gets set up then....I'll carry on with my tribe on 280 and the highly enjoyable single player game in the meantime.

in terms of XP, in private/solo games you can change the settings to level up quicker.

On 385 the settings are all standard though. I'm about lvl 30 I think (one of the tribe is a student, on most of the day and is about lvl 65 as our highest).

up to about level 15 you can just make loads of cloth hats. You can make them from fibre, get xp for it then chuck them. Most of the tribe did find it annoying that I contributed nothing for a few days while I continuously made cloth hats though, especially when I'd leave piles of them lying around!

Sparkpowder, gunpower, narcotics are good too (and actually useful). Anything you can create in big quantities works pretty well. Other than that just go hunting.

Also, being in a tribe helps from the shared xp bonus. If our highest level player (at 65) makes a high level unlocked saddle then I will get a proportion of the xp if I'm on and near him. At level 65 this wouldn't be much but anyone else nearby at a lower level will jump up by quite a stretch.

After getting a bit more appetite for PvP we've been raided by the poisonous Alpha Tribe again.

Two players were online and managed to hide all our valuables but we lost all but two dinosaurs. We spent ages taming that Spino too.

They've broken up the rest of the base now and given everything to a local tribe. I think 385 is a lost cause.

You need to go guerrilla. Break up the tribe and create new, small ones. Only tame and build what you need, think small. Farm gunpowder like it's going out of fashion and make explosives.

Let's get a party chat going, find a server to live on and set up a ph tribe. Hopefully all working together we can level up quickly and some of you who've managed to get pretty far already can maybe help some of us newbies who hasn't managed to tame anything yet.

I'm planning on jumping on this later for the first time. Few questions.

Can I host a server privately for me and my buddies to join tonight just while we get a feel for it?

If and when I get up and running, could we join your tribe? could you post which server you go onto? 3 very long term PH'ers (Y2Blade and Robatron being the others)

Would be great to get a bunch of us!
