a raft might be the way to go. You can still get raided but it makes it a bit tougher to find, when you go off you can just sail to the edge of the sea and park up.
I was thinking that too, we can build on it then just sail out at night, stops anyone without a water mount getting to us.Or even build a main base with our gear and that in it, plus a "sleeper raft" with minimal tools and stuff to give us a head start if the main base is destroyed that we can sleep in overnight.
The possibilities are endless in this game it's great!

Disappointed we got raided on our first night. But never mind we achieved an awful lot working together so we will survive and as we level up we will be harder to attack.
on 385 we had about three spawn locations setup. Main base, hidden bed nearby and a raft on the river.
You can get dinosaurs with you on it if you want but leaving them there is hazardous if they just stand on top. They can end up drowning in the water if they go for a wander. You can build a dino gate on the raft and enclose them in but with the build limit it's always a bit squashed.

Robatron and I spent last night on 106. We built a fairly sizeable wooden base.
We have lots of small neighbours. probably saw 3-4 people last night. Nobody attacked and we were still alive and well in the base this morning.

You're gonna need a bigger boat....You can get dinosaurs with you on it if you want but leaving them there is hazardous if they just stand on top. that must be a PC mod, there's no way you could build that with the current limit.
I've no idea, the pic popped up and I thought of this thread you can work around the boat limit, same as you can work around the quetz and Bronto platform limit ..have a look on google about it.
So........... after failing to find you lot on 106 I went back to single player.
I went for third time lucky mammoth tame/hunt last night, Got kitted up, pre-built a few campfires with lots of thatch to burn, tranq arrows, crossbow, lots of Narco & majo berries plus meat jerky and water (for me) loaded it all up on my weight/tanky Argentavis and headed to Snow Biome, found a good lvl mate boosted pair...Landed bird out of the way then set about downing the pair.
Got both down without too much drama, set up horseshoe area of campfires and got busy taming them, both were almost three quarters done (took a long time) when dire wolves turned up, managed to kill one but lost both tames, was able to get back to the bird although with very low health then headed for warmth to recover then return to area.
I didn't make it out of "ice cube" temperate in time, died from exposure lost the gear and the mammoth saddle i'd just got resources for, Lost my best Argentavis (no notification that he was killed though, he was on Neutral with wandering disabled but I died while flying, so no idea what happens in that scenario) and the saddle and gear it was carrying.
Respawned and spent about an hour looking for my Arg using a speedy Pteranodon, but no luck. Headed back to base and tamed another three good Raptors to my pack.
Restocked the food troughs, checked the gates and fencing then went to bed.......what a night!!!!
The Mammoth hunt continues.
BEST game in a long time

So that server seems particularly toxic. Found a new one EU -181 just checking it out now
Have you considered joining a PvE one instead? One of the new high number EU ones that went live yesterday would be ideal. I was on server 106 for a while looking (and failing to locate) for you guys, I came across a few people, spoke with most of them on game chat without any incidents, they were friendly enough, like many just suspicious/defensive of anyone approaching them.
Anyway
I thought it was a good suggestion as judging by the comments you guys seem to keep running into "toxic" people and not liking it very much on every server you try.....Perhaps PvE would be more enjoyable?!

This game is brutal however and totally unforgiving, not a bad thing for a survival game and pvp just keeps it more real.
